CONWAY, SC (WIS TV) -
A man accused of sexually assaulting a victim Thursday was beaten by an acquaintance of the victim before the police even arrived.
William Mattson's mugshot clearly shows the result of what happened to him early Thursday morning before officers with the Conway Police Department came to the scene around 12:57 a.m.
Police found the mangled Mattson, 52, at the Highway 905 residence with the victim claiming the sexual assault.
Investigators stopped short of saying who exactly beat Mattson, but said the person was "acting in defense for the victim."
Mattson was then arrested and taken to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
The scene at the house sounds like quite a METH.
The uncle’s face was breaking bad that’s for sure.
Yeah, like Rosie Palm and her five hookers.
“To Kill a Mockingbird”.
On the other hand if the accusations are true I’ll go with a fall on the stairs, to heck with the guy.
In the end it would have been cheaper and easier to go to a bar and find a consenting adult to get al liquored up. Probably less painful as well.
I tend to agree with you on this. My son’s best friend was accused of rape by a female friend of theirs. Her boyfriend came and beat the crap out of his best friend. He was arrested, and after my son helped him get out of jail, we found out the rest of the story.
The female friend told her boyfriend a lie about being raped, because she didn’t want to get in trouble with him for going out socializing without him. Once it was sorted out, the girl confessed to the police what had happened. My son’s friend pressed charges of assault against the boyfriend, and if I’m not mistaken, the girl was also charged with filing a false police report. The young men are no longer friends with this girl or her boyfriend.
Good riddance!
Now, that’s a complicated story. Even after several readings, I’m not sure I have it straight.
It hurts just to look at that picture.

Sorry, I’ll try it with pseudonyms. My son’s name is “Roger”. His best friend’s name is “Jason”. The female friend of theirs is “Heather” and her boyfriend is “Evan.”
One night Heather went out with a group of friends to watch live local music and drink. She told Evan she was doing something else. In my opinion, she realized Evan was a jerk and was considering breaking up with him. Heather got drunk while out with mixed company. Jason was one of several people who were with Heather listening to the bands. (Roger was not in attendance.) Jason, being a good and kind friend, took her home to her apartment so she wouldn’t get a DWI.
The next evening, Jason was jumped by a couple of guys, and then beaten to a pulp (broken nose and black eye) by Heather’s boyfriend, Evan. The police were called because of the fight, and Heather accused Jason of raping her the previous evening. Jason was arrested and taken to jail and booked. At some point, he was allowed to post bond, and my son, Roger, picked him up from jail.
About a week later, as police were investigating, Heather admitted to lying and making the whole thing up because she was afraid of Evan hurting her. So she gave him someone else for his rage. She made up the story about Jason raping her to cover for her going out socializing without Evan.
Once the police told Jason what they had discovered, Evan was arrested and Jason pressed charges against him for assault. Heather, I believe, also had charges against her for filing a false police report.
Does this help?
Looks like he was exercising and got injured with the equipment.... on New Years Eve....
Maybe it was mistaken identity, perhaps he mistook him for Bill Cosby.
So, is “Heather” available for dating now? ;^)
Without any indication of his guilt, and with an automatic assumption that anyone accused of a sex crime is obviously guilty, I cheer heartily the trial-free, evidence-free, extrajudicial administration of potentially-deadly beating, and only wish he had been killed outright.
LOL! I can’t even be called an ageist, since I’m 72. Oh, sweet bird of youth, how thou art flown.
I never get tired of reading that article. The last paragraph in particular.
