The children, most of them less than 7 years old, were ferried to the city's police stations, where they had to spend the night. At one crowded city beach, 35 children were handed in, according to authorities.
South African's reacted with shock on social media.
"I am battling to understand, how do you lose a child on a beach? And you still go home? It is sad," tweeted one Cape Town resident with the Twitter handle WaMputhi. "If I travelled with a child, I will not leave without him/her even if it means no sleep searching," he added in another tweet.

It’s called FREE BABYSITTING BY THE POLICE.
Watching a child is a full time habit that only mothers can do properly. Feminist moms rely on other people who cant/wont learn the habit. So, bad things happen to kids.
I don't think what this particular article is describing is a modern Western problem.
Ref “FWIW, when Jesus was 12 his family misplaced him for three days” ......
And they searched for him frantically for much of that time....
First, this is in CAPE TOWN, which is not in the US.
Second, blacks like to go to the beach. They even wade in the water.
The question that popped into my head was, If there are hundreds of children 'lost' on a tourist beach, how come they all seem to get 'turned in to the police' ?
You would think some enterprising kidnappers/sex slave traders would hang out there and make a killing.
Uh ,no. Jesus went about his father’s business. Parents went looking fot him.
More like a SOUTH AFRICAN problem.
Ya,if my kids talked to me like that there would be trouble.
Situation is bit different though if you are dealing with the Son of God heh.
Everyone knows this happens all the time in the Northern Hemisphere too !
You fascist FR troglodytes simply refuse to get with our glorious program !

He looks really happy!
Clamdigger, not a Piney. If I were a Piney I would be talking about Shoobies.
From the picture, one has to ask if they all look alike?
More troubling, very well fed!
Looks like a pedophile’s dream.
I can certainly imagine how you could lose track of a child on a beach like that. But as someone else said, I can’t imagine just leaving at the end of the day with the child still not accounted for. Heck, not even if it was just the family dog that was unaccounted for.
I was once on the board of our Community and the woman in charge of the swimming pool was having a heck of a time with people leaving their children alone, at the pool, when there was no lifeguard. Up to this point, the children were always accompanied by an adult, usually the parent; but, times had changed (about 10 years ago). We had a discussion about this, and she said something that I still remember; "People just don't know how to raise their own kids anymore."

And well fed.
Re shark pic, Post 20: He looks really happy!I noticed that. The shark is actually smiling. (That's the same smile I have when the meat thermometer in the New York strip reaches 145 degrees.)
And here I thought lives mattered.
