The day after Republicans won the largest majority in the House of Representatives in almost 100 years and won a significant majority in the Senate, our liberal activist president claimed to hear the voices of all the people who didnt vote. It was another example of stunning obstinacy from this president.
It seemed Democrats were melting down, Republicans were unified, and all we had to do was buy enough time to get our Republican reinforcements to Washington in January.
Like President Obama, Speaker John Boehner must have heard voices that didnt vote.
Together, they crafted the CR/omnibus, a $1.1 trillion spending bill that funded the government for 10 months and blocked our newest elected Republicans from advancing conservative policy and delivering on campaign promises. With this vote, Republicans gave away the best tool available to rein in our liberal activist president: the power of the purse. The power of the purse is Congress constitutional strength.
For the next 10 months, the CR/omnibus will fulfill Obamas ambition of creating an even larger constituency of dependency on Obamacare. The presidents goal has always been to create as much dependency as possible before enforcing the destructive employer mandate. The CR/omnibus hands the liberals that victory. This is unconscionable after watching the campaign rhetoric that won such decisive victories for the GOP.
Department of Homeland Security appropriations expire in February, when Republicans will supposedly fight to defund the illegal amnesty plan created by the president. Does anybody believe that Obama is concerned about Republicans not funding DHS? Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have already sued the administration for not allowing them to enforce the law.
The Constitution requires the president to faithfully execute the laws of the United States. He has refused to enforce the laws on border security, Obamacare, illicit drugs and the release of detained terrorists. His activism in his last two years has accelerated to include executive amnesty, initiating international climate deals without a treaty, and establishing an embassy in Cuba without consulting Congress. When our Constitution is under assault and House Republicans give away our constitutional power of the purse, they share the guilt of abandoning our founding principles.
The CR/omnibus legislation sufficiently undermines the checks and balances enshrined in the Constitution that it warrants my pending vote against the speaker. John Boehner went too far when he teamed with Obama to advance this legislation. He relinquished the power of the purse, and with it he lost my vote.
Kick Boner’s can down the road.....
He’s talking big today. Let’s see what happens when the votes come down. Last time, all the big huff and puffers chickened out and got in line.
I think 20 or so Republicans will look good (some of them moles doing it for show) and not support Boehner, but he will win anyway.

“Poll: 60 percent of GOP voters want John Boehner Replaced as Speaker”
Boehner must be removed. If not by this vote then by coup or force. Get a bunch of gay hairdressers to gang jump him. That will keep him so busy he will never come back to dc.
I wrote emails to my states republican congressmen insisting the Boner be voted out of office and that they vote for a conservative.
Whom do you think would make the best replacement for Boner with conservative values?
A buncha ‘rats could easily come to Boner’s rescue.
Ted Cruz or Mike Lee.
Let that be his legacy.......
Boehner is just one of many of the GOP's Benedict Arnolds.
However drunk he may usually be, he isn't stupid. He is mounting a media campaign to convince a portion of the faithful that, "By Golly he is really tough on that rascally Obama." Of course, the MSM will be helpful to him.
He will be spouting Budget nonsense. Above all, do not underestimate the enemy. His opponents (if indeed there are any) have kept remarkably silent. And as always in the GOP, there is No Program,No Plan, No Leader, to throw the bum out.
Also be advised that to throw the bum out will personally cost the 'reformers' millions, and if the coup fails they will never be heard from again or receive a cent of RNC campaign support.
Good for Bridenstine. He is in a position to be a leader on this issue. He doesn’t appear to be beholding to Boehner and he is from a safe Republican district (OK-1) that has a Cook Partisan Index CPI of +18% R.
If they come up short, let the dems have the mess...HOR, US Senate and Presidency in two years, if the nation lasts even that long.
We gave the Republicans an unmistakable CONSERVATIVE victory. Boehner and his pack of fools used it as enough rope to hang themselves.
Couldn’t he just be moved to House Wimp?
Here here
Likewise, if the RINO party puts up another Socialism Lite candidate for 2016 I’ll be staying home and working on my preps come Election Day. I’m done voting for “the lesser of two evils” when the lesser party is only slightly different... and then gives the bad guys what they want anyway.
Bridenstine ran against 6 term John Sullivan particularly because of his vote on the debt ceiling. He was outspent by a huge margin in the primary but won because Oklahoma is conservative and Sullivan is not. His first vote in congress was against Boner. Bridenstine will not chicken out.
They're Senators. If they were elected Speaker, they'd have to give up their Senate seat.
I remain hopeful.
