Locally, in our subdivision, it was chaos at midnight. Dozens of motorcycles running the streets, with horns blaring, cars and trucks towing cans on strings (like "just married" folk!) and of course, plenty of revelers with loud stress and kazoo horns blowing and scaring our dog.
But, it is a New Year, and with it comes hopes and prayers for all, that you have a blessed year and a good life.
(heads and tail of the roasted pig my sis-in-law had at her house last night. They do barbecue a little differently!)
The bowls of fruit contain 13 fruits, all different, to have a prosperous year. It is another tradition with these folks! It's more fun in the Philippines!!!

Do they do that pig in a pit or over a pit of firewood?
My gosh it does look fun there...and warm! We are at 18 degrees here in Pa with a real feel of -2 and dropping!
