The fact that Ted Cruz is married to a successful woman, is hardly a negative, in his principled campaign to wake America up. While much of Corporate American Management has been misled into accepting stupid policies, which are not in any real American interest; this neither discredits those business types, who have not accepted stupid policies, nor a Senator who exposes the bad judgment of others.

For an insight into how much of Corporate Management has been destructively misfocused, see Another Variation On Demonic Theme. If you think that Jeb Bush can win a debate with Ted Cruz--or, for that matter, that Bush would dare offend his own contributors by attacking Goldman Sachs, as have you; well, just wait and see.

It is about power. Once a person or group obtains power, they will fight with all that they can to retain that power. If conservatives come to power within the GOP, then the establishment republicans will have to give up power to the conservatives. Their agenda is less likely to be enacted, especially when that agenda is different than the conservative agenda.

Speaking of that, “The 48 Laws of Power” by Robert Greene would solve a lot of confusion Freepers seem to have about this stuff.

I am a Floridian. Jeb Bush was a good governor. Since his latest return to the political arena, he has shown a lack of understanding concerning Common Core and Immigration. Stay home Jeb, we like Ted Cruz!

The leftists fear anyone who can WIN who isn’t democrat. The moment he threatens their grip on power, they start to trash him.

We had PDS, soon the TDS will run unchecked as well. And thats just on the right. It already has quite a few practitioners here.

“I am a Floridian. Jeb Bush was a good governor”, do YOU KNOW WHAT a “Good” Governor looks like?

He also has the educational background that liberals are always swooning over and demanding are a requirement of any candidate.

Princeton undergrad, Harvard Law graduate? Choke on that, moonbats.

Plus they know damned right well Cruz can and will crush ANYONE in a debate.

I doubt that he is that low to gather dirt on everyone. I think it has more to do with the fact that Cruz connects with us everyday people. They KNOW that he is willing to risk his political future to do the right thing. The establishment know we know that.

Is it because so many fear a “Christian who actually may believe it”?
We can’t have a Sarah Palin or a Cruise who takes this stuff seriously as President. I feel many Conservatives secretly do NOT want a Christian in power although they would never admit it publicly. They would tolerate Nominal Christians Only. CINOs

“...he [Ted Cruz] has a kind of Reaganesque appeal to the unwashed masses.”

Please elaborate on “unwashed masses”.

IMO, the “unwashed masses” are Obama voters, Ferguson rioters, the Occupy crowd, cop haters, gibsmedats, etc.

Ted Cruz appeals to those who like himself are capable of thinking for themselves & whose personal vision goes beyond self interest and towards what is best for America.

Again, that’s my opinion. And scr*w the GOP establishment!

Oh geez. Put your manufactured outrage on hold. The “unwashed masses” are what the Progressive Elites of the UniParty think WE are.

I'm sorry - I didn't mean to offend you. I love Bauer but he is fiction. There have been a few attempts to Palinize Cruz, and both that I've seen have taken the accusation that he is out for himself. I do not believe he is, any more than is humanly normal. I will work for him too if he runs.

Cruz needs to get out in front of the palinization ASAP! Great if he hoisted them upon their own petards, as well: use a little Alinsky right away, mocking in advance any talking heads or journos who make the predicted comments.

I don't want to have to come up with all the ideas right now, but one general example for Cruz to say now: "Oh, the media loves to say I am doing this [whatever he is doing] for egotistical reasons. Did they say that about [a democrat whom they would NEVER call out]? Let me tell you how it will go. If I did run for President, you'd see media people come out and say X, then Y, then Z about me. Remember. I said this today, [early 2015]. They will accuse me of [aforementioned X, Y, and Z] as quick as anything, but they will never ask about my [important things he has done, relevant things]. And remember, when you see an interviewer or reporter hitting me with those accusations, how predictable it was! How biased they are, and indeed, how they lack even the most rudimentary curiosity or intellectual stamina. It's actually going to be quite funny, just watch."

The film They Live is what the establishment is terrified of. Cruz is giving everyone the glasses to see who is undead and who is a Patriot. Notice Ted is silent right now, along with Sarah and everybody else on our side. Something is afoot... and the Undead are seeing the end of their world.

In 2013 when Barry threatened to shut down the gov’t and blame it on Ted and the GOP-e ran for cover, Ted Cruz said: “This is an argument we can win!”

Look what happened in the 2014 election!

The man refused to accept the false-framing of any question put to him even by FOX news reporters like Chris Wallace. He re-frames and then responds on point to the question he would LIKE to answer! He asks his properly framed question and gives his informative answer that advances HIS narrative...not the narrative of FOX News or the MSM Narrative of the day!
