Sorry, but any place lacking an abundance of shooting ranges does not have the best entertainment options in the world. Likewise, I'd bet I could walk virtually any block in Lafayette, LA and pass at least 2-3 restaurants that would be the equal of anything in NYC at half the cost.

You are right about the restaurants in Lafayette. Much better seafood than New York.
