Solving the "labor shortage" should be very simple. Either raise wages for farm workers or cut "benefits" for people who have decided not to be a part of the work force. There would be plenty of willing workers.

Of course if your goal is to change the demographics and culture of our country... maybe wouldn't sound like such a good solution.

When those illegal workers are able to move up/out of low wage work, other illegals will replace them at the bottom who cannot move legally.

Essentially, this deferred adjudication leads to more illegal immigration, which we already know. But, it will not lead to labor shortages.

I'm curious as to how many people have been in supermarket checkout lines behind people who pay with EBT cards, buy food that you can't afford, drive away in cars you can't afford and are younger and more able-bodies than you.

I'd estimate that at least three out of four in our area meet most of the above criteria.
