It’s happening at malls because there’s stuff to grab, and people will not use deadly force to prevent shoplifting.
At schools and churches, they will be perceived as threatening kids and family, with greater likelihood of deadly force in response.
I think there’s more to it than that, although the “grab stuff” mentality is why leftists find inner city blacks such good little foot soldiers.
