An intruder died early today after being shot in a California borough home as he charged toward the homeowner who confronted him in the kitchen, Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said.
The male, identified by Mr. Warco as Emanuel Ladson, 37, of Pittsburgh, was pronounced dead at the Monongahela Valley Hospital emergency room at 4:48 a.m.
The incident, described by Mr. Warco in a news release as a home invasion, is being investigated by the coroner, Pennsylvania State Police and police in the borough, officials said.
Ladson entered the home along California Road through a window about 3:35 a.m. and was confronted by the homeowner in the kitchen, the coroner said. Once confronted, Ladson began running toward the homeowner at which time the homeowner fired a single shot from a handgun, striking the victim in the chest, the news release said.
Ladson left the home through the front door but collapsed in the yard approximately 50 feet away.
The coroner listed the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest, with the manner of the mans death being investigated.
Online court records show that Ladson has a criminal history out of Philadelphia County. In January 2002 he pleaded guilty to crimes including robbery, for which he was sentenced to 5 to 10 years in jail. In November, 2012, Ladson pleaded guilty to a forgery charge and was sentenced to 6-12 months in jail with 5 years probation.

Probably not more than one who lives in Pittsburgh and comes from Philadelphia.
Did you notice, one of his ‘likes’ is Smith & Wesson ???? Out on parole, not sure that’s a good idea, but then again, breaking into someone else’s home. And in one of the pics he’s wearing what appears to be a Muslim cap.
There is also an “East Texas, PA”. What also is confusing is that Texaco, Inc is headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, and Pennsoil, Inc is headquartered in Houston, TX.
When the cops arrest someone, it is not unusual to find all of this out ... but the perps are released anyway. Check out the warrant list in your own county. And get a CCW, pronto.
We’re lucky that the perp wasn’t shot by a white cop. There would be riots in California, PA.
You can go to Moon and Mars on the same trip, and still be home for dinner. ;~)
Ah, that explains his comment that "we're not your typical couple" when he went into the magazine size: "My wife would yell 'hon, I'm running low, toss me another mag'" in the middle of a home invasion scenario.
If you visit Albany, Amsterdam, Annapolis, Augusta, Berkeley, Beverly Hills, Buffalo, California, Camden, Holland, Kansas City, Laredo, Louisiana, Madison, Memphis, Mexico, Miami, Mount Vernon, Nevada, Oregon, Osceola, Pacific, Pomona, Richmond, Riverside, Rockaway Beach, Stockton, Syracuse, Trenton, Waco, Vienna, and Warsaw in one drive within one state, where are you?
Texas?
Bbbzzzttt!! Nope.
Good guess, though.
Hint. I used to live there.
Aw, heck. Well, it ain’t Idaho. Although I must say we were pleased when the Russians named their capital city after Moscow, Idaho.
Ah yes, the “taxpayer relief shot”.
That would be Missouri.
A large part of our population is completely morally bankrupt; it's disgusting.
Within Emanual Landros’ Facebook page, his likes have EIGHT Islamic sites (”Sudenese Comex” “The Islamic Monthly” “Imam Zaid Shakir” “Nama Nama Islam” “Hadith of the Day” “ILoveAllah.com” “Islam is a life style” “I Need Allah In My Life”), plus 2-3 gun sites.
Plus the photos of him show a Muslim-like beard bushing out. Not sure how much he embraced Islam; it may have been through his various visits to prison, but he did not adopt an Islamic first name. Perhaps he was just trying it out, not really sure who he should be.
Yes, the more recent photos seemed to show a return to a more inner city look.
He should have emptied the clip on the idiot.... He deserved it.
Confusing....
I figured as much. It is too bad that is the first thing I think of these days, but that is reality. How often are we right?
Trust in God, but empty (half of) the clip. Why, because the perp might not be alone. They usually run in two's.
There is no justification for the public servant police to be more heavily armed than the law-abiding public they serve ... unless the government's intention is to be more powerful than the people.
And come to protest in Washington.
