OK. I was wondering if Beatty had finally come to his senses.
Sure...tastes like chicken!
I see. While we have places where they might be able to get the ingredients, I’ve never met an African-American that eats African food.
Africans are good cooks, in my experience. A roommate and I had a Kenyan au pair years ago. She didn’t buy any special African ingredients—she just used things we had in the pantry and fridge and did wonderful things with them. My mother also had an African caregiver at one point, and I hung around at International House in my early days in NYC.
African American cooks are, of course, legendary.
That one is my favorite Kwanzaa pic.
I’ve only seen African restaurants in Minneapolis, and wouldn’t set foot in them (Muslim Somalis).
On the second day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the third day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Three Dixie Chicks.
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the fourth day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Four Lenin busts.
Three Dixie Chicks,
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the fifth day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Five fel-on-ies.
Four Lenin busts,
Three Dixie Chicks,
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the sixth day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Six Castro jumpsuits.
Five fel-on-ies,
Four Lenin busts,
Three Dixie Chicks,
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the seventh day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Seven Mao pajamas,
Six Castro jumpsuits,
Five fel-on-ies,
Four Lenin busts
Three Dixie Chicks,
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
