Paige Stalker might be alive today had she learned about Routine Activity Theory.
But she is dead and two of her friends are critically wounded, the latest poster children for R.A.T.: White people in black neighborhoods should expect to be the victims of racial violence.
Paige was one of five teenagers from an upscale neighborhood in nearby Grosse Point who were on their way to the movies three days before Christmas when they decided to pull over and smoke marijuana in Detroit.
While they were getting a high, a black man with a high-powered rifle approached their car and fired 30 rounds into it, killing Paige.
Paige and her friends learned the hard way what in 2012 became well known in a Chicago courtroom. The case revolved around a white woman who was released from jail into a black neighborhood. Hours later, she was thrown out of the seventh-story window of a local housing project.
Her parents sued the city of Chicago, saying the city should have known their white daughter would be a victim of violence in that black neighborhood.
That was the testimony of Harvard sociology professor Robert Sampson and what the judge said when he described R.A.T. The woman “was a white female in a predominantly black, poor neighborhood (and) she had a much higher risk of predatory victimization.”
The judge said the situation was so transparently dangerous (link corrected) that Chicago police “might as well have released her into the lions’ den at the Brookfield Zoo.”
The city’s lawyers claimed the professor was guilty of racial profiling and demanded the judge throw out his testimony. Judge Frank Easterbrook scorned that argument and approved a judgment against the city for $22.5 million.

We have no minority groups around here; I chose the words in my previous post carefully because I have had so much bother with English people labelling me a fascist.
I welcome some groups, - as far as I am concerned the Jews make a valuable contribution to our nation and should be welcomed, as should Sikhs and Hindus.
The trouble is whenever anyone expresses alarm over the number of (Muslim) refugees and asylum seekers allowed to settle in our overcrowded island, we are immediately branded nazis and gagged by new “hate laws”. Upwards of 80% of the native population feel it is treasonous that so many 3rd world misfits are deliberately invited in and then encouraged to plot against us by liberal politicians. This is why I am an anti-Islam campaigner.
However, coming back to this thread regarding black neighbourhoods, I am not racist in any way. This makes me a better man than these community leaders (by the by, who appointed these people as leaders)? What I did notice on my trips to the US was that more recent immigrants ie Koreans, Sri Lankans, Armenians-to name a few-came over with just the shirts on their backs, but prospered after 10 or 15 years. As far as I am aware the did it themselves with no government help.
If they managed to do well, then how come black Americans seem to struggle ? I only ask because the civil rights battles are now almost 50 years old; surely this “oppression” excuse is wearing a bit thin.
Over here black communities in our biggest cities are constantly told by local (white) politicians that are disadvantaged, and these politicians almost seem to want to encourage them to be riotous and disruptive. The good hard working black people are called Bounty Bars (black inside white outside) and told that they are abandoning their people.Strangely, no one points out this to be a form of anti-white rhetoric.
Anyway, to sum things up, what is wrong in America seems to be duplicated this side of the Ocean. I didn’t mean to sound naive; it is only because as an English Patriot I am used to being cautious when posting. Having read some of these posts makes me realize that I can speak freely with like minded people.

In the Chicago case, the white woman was taken from a police lock-up in a mixed racial area, and driven in a squad car and dumped off in a 99% black high crime area, for FUN, buy the police. They knew she was going to get her ass kicked, and set it up. Some female Chicago cops were even involved with the incident, and they didn’t give a damn what happened to this woman. The woman was from California, and was picked up by the police as she was walking around the Rush Street tourist area of Chicago in beach attire. She was not involved in criminal activity when “picked up”, she had just had a little too much to drink and was in town by herself, without friends. The Chicago police are in serious need of a “tune up”, as they are so often to give of themselves to the undeserving.

Every area I’ve moved and this was many times, there are places you simply don’t go to. Everybody is aware of that.
In this situation I can’t for the life of me understand this entire ordeal...she was apparently let out of jail...then smoking pot or whatever...sounds to me like the parents were just determined to make someone pay.
Look at all the ones we’ve been following...every mother said her “baby” wouldn’t harm anyone etc. etc. The denial is off the scale when it comes to kids who have missed up their life.

Use GPS and program in the intersection of “MLK Boulevard and Central Ave”. Put a 3 mile avoidance circle around it. That is a minimum avoidance area.
