But it could be difficult to make the most of a 2km range without infringing civil aviation regulations, which require UAS pilots to stay within eyesight of their drone, and use of the camera could infringe the privacy of passersby.
The Civil Aviation Authority has issued guidance to help drone operators understand airspace regulations.
Technically, drone operators must request permission from the CAA if they plan to fly a camera-equipped aircraft within congested areas, or within 50 metres of people or properties that are not under their control. They must also remain in visual line of sight of their aircraft, or they must be approved by the CAA.

With accumulated birthday & Christmas gift cash, I’m this -><- close to getting a Parrot AR 2.0 drone.
Thoughts?
What could possibly go wrong?

just make your drone out of clear plastic-they`ll never see it
I don’t know much about the Parrot AR 2.0, but I have a Phantom 2 that I use with the GoPro I have had for years and I love it. I’m not sure what the payload would be for the Parrot AR 2.0 and what accessories may be available for it. I do know there is an abundance of accessories for the DJI Phantom.
Letting individuals use drones is stupid. The danmed things will destroy property and maim individuals. They will be flown near commercial and general aviation. It’s only a matter of time until one causes an accident.
Golly, how in the world have we survived with millions of radio controlled (RC) model airplanes flying around?
Responsible RC hobbyists don’t fly where they’re not allowed to fly. Just like responsible gun owners don’t shoot up malls and McDonalds!
We don’t need the NANNY State...it’s only a matter of time until a car causes an accident!
It worked for Wonder Woman, even that beyond awful one with Cathy Lee Crosby.
Like to get one.
Better hurry. They stop selling in the US on 1/1/15....
In ENGLAND? The most watched, surveilled, scrutinized country in the world, with government cameras on every street corner? The irony is astounding.
Perhaps but I can’t fly my drone very well any way. It is harder than it looks
Didn’t know that. Thanks for the alert. Do you have one? I’d like to get the most powerful one I can afford mostly to have youtube fun with.
Well, that’s comparing a $300 drone with an $800 one. I’ll go with the Parrot Bebop if paying more.
Well then we certainly can’t let individuals drive around in multi ton vehicles. They kill 50,000 a year and cost taxpayers billions in road maintenance. What do people think public transportation for? Ban private cars today!
Where did you learn that? Source?
The quad forum where I hang out has no such info.
Obese Wonder Woman?
