“Gone With the Wind is fictional.
Why cant Rhett Butler and Scarlett be black? Or have Mammy white?”
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
EXTREMELY weak argument. I would have hoped posters on this forum would know better.
While GWTW is fictional, there were no black plantation owners to speak of, much less ones that owned white slaves.
Please think things through with your brain, and not your glands, before you post.
Okay. You decide to level an ad hominem attack instead of argue the point, and you do that because you cannot argue the point.
The point is, there is no difference and you keep moving your goalposts.
James Bond is fictional, so the character can be played by anyone.
Scarlett OHara is fictional, she can be played by anyone.
Then you resort to: your opponents have no brains and think with their glands.
That pretty much wraps up your argument. You must have gone to the Khrushchev School of Shoe banging.
“While GWTW is fictional, there were no black plantation owners to speak of,”
Back at ya. . .during the time James Bond was created “there were no [black Scottish secret agents] to speak of.
Want a black MI-5/6/8 agent, fine, just don’t call him (her or it) “James Bond.”
