Shai Galili, Likud's comptroller, disqualified Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from running for the party leadership in the December 31 primary, a move that Netanyahu disputes and is likely to appeal.
Galili says that Netanyahu must answer claims that he improperly used party resources in his leadership primary run.

Doubt this ruling will prevent Netanyahu from running.
It might however cause a voter backlash and give him even more votes.

Hope you are right. The left in Israel seems to be learning from our left. It doesn’t matter if the charge is totally made up, as long as it comes at the right time and lasts through the election.

I had read somewhere that the administration was keeping the UN from some mandate against Israel that could tip the election to Bibi, guess that was not enough.
I worry not cause at some point the Lord Himself intervenes an blows up all His enemies!

Netanyahus attorney insisted that Galili had overstepped his authority in disqualifying Netanyahu.
Hopefully this will mean more votes for Jewish Home. Go, Bennett!

just as soon as Jerusalem announced national elections,
I was worried...
there is a very powerful international funding group (Saudis Soros Qataris etc) that’s working, spending 24/7 to destabilize USA, Europe, and yes Israel too.
An Israeli election while O is still in the WH... looks very risky...
from this standpoint, anyway.
There IS a Fifth Column inside Israel (as there is in USA and UK and Europe insofar as I know).... and when tons of $$ are channeled in from these evil outside sources, the combination can be very dangerous for a country...
in short, if they can elect their choice of person to the Presidency of the USA, a very large country, how is it possible not to believe they can do the same for the Prime Ministership of Israel, a very small nation?
perhaps the Israeli elections are more safely put off until 2017?

The crazy thing is that Bibi’s competitor in the primary - Danny Danon - is on the far right.
Bibi hasn’t really governed from the right. He still hasn’t dealt with Iran, fights indecisive wars against Hamas, etc.
If Danon were to upset Bibi in the primary it would strengthen Likud as far as I’m considered.
I just don’t see a 3 term PM being DQ’d for a minor technicality. Chances are this ruling will be overturned or disregarded.
