Its not really a big shocker to say those serving in the military arent big fans of Barack Obama, but when you see just how much our men and women in uniform despise their Commander-In-Chief, it will simply blow your mind.
This is astounding, yet for some strange reason, very comforting.
From Weasel Zippers via Military Times:
The long-term effects of Obamas social policies on the military remain unknown. But one thing is clear: He is a deeper unpopular commander in chief among the troops.
According to a Military Times survey of almost 2,300 active-duty service members, Obamas popularity never high to begin with has crumbled, falling from 35 percent in 2009 to just 15 percent this year, while his disapproval ratings have increased to 55 percent from 40 percent over that time. So I guess completely disrespecting the military by attempting to cut their pay raises, not awarding them certain benefits they need to cover their medical bills, and preventing them from receiving adequate healthcare takes a negative toll on how they perceive leadership.
Who wouldve thought?
Obama has repeatedly slammed our armed forces and through his many lawless actions has proven hes not leadership material, nor does he possess qualities our troops can admire or look up to.
How can a man effectively lead the nations military if those under him dont like him or trust him?
The simple answer is he cant, which is why our foreign policy is a joke and our response to threats to our freedom and safety continue to go largely unchecked.
Lets hope the next occupant of the Oval Office is someone who respects, reveres, and loves our military and can effectively perform the duties of their office to keep America safe.
No surprise that the people who risk their lives for the rest of us hate the piece of camel dung that is their commander in cheif.
THIS is why so many states play games with the military absentee ballots.
It would be interesting to see a poll on how the members of the military and/or retired members feel about GW Bush. I didn’t agree with all he did or didn’t do (such as not defending himself from the Libs), but I do believe in his heart he cared about the country. And, to this day, he cares deeply about the troops. I’ve read articles where he and Laura welcome home the troops at the airport (without a press corps(e) following them, he invites wounded warriors to his home in Crawford for a bike ride and also has/or participates in a golf tournament for wounded warriors every year.
I normally change channels when Obummer comes on, but the few times I’ve seen a minute or two of him coming in to address the troops compared to when W did, there’s no comparison for the excitement and respect - W wins that hands down.
It doesn’t surprise me a bit that only 15% of the military are Obomination-supporting, rose-throwing, rear-end-kissing, Kool-Aid-drinking robots. But this news encourages me, in that there are 85% Constitution-defending warrior-heroes that prayerfully will turn on the thing that occupies the WH and do what needs to be done to get our great nation back on track with what the Founding Fathers—many of whom gave their lives—intended for us to live in freedom and prosperity by.
I’m relieved by this poll - I’ve been dismayed at how many of my fellow JAGs are Obama worshipers these days. Sadly, the worship tracks the melatonin level, and that really disappoints me: people whose opinions and work ethic I greatly respect get all gooey when it comes to this fraud in the WH, and I can’t see any reason other than skin color.
Missed hearing about that one. Wouldn’t shock me at all.
Even maggots can’t stand him.
Warriors, since the dawn of time, will only follow other warriors. Obama is no warrior.
Would be nice to see the troops turn their back on him the same way the police officers in NYC did to De Blasio.
Ironically, his effort to beef up the nation's police departments with military hardware was part of that strategy. And it's the left that has been it's most vocal critic. Another example of liberal unintended consequences.
My cousin’s husband is a cop in Nassau County, on New York’s Long Island.
He hates Obama with a passion.
I among others, would LOVE to see the look on their faces if the local cops insurrect, and turn all their shiny new tacticool toys on their masters...
Just imAgine our military turning its back on the commander in chump like the NYPD did to that phony mayor DeBlasio.
I too met many in uniform who had that same reaction: when confronted as to why, the reply was always "Gots ta go wif da brutah..."
(and it's Melanin, not Melatonin...)
Yes, the poll may vanish into the haze, but the sentiments will not. These sentiments can be very relevant during a time of national physical strife, should that ever occur.
Yeah, but look at what the media is amplifying: supposedly 60% of the military AGREE with Obama regarding homosexuals.
That is what the media in Miami is pimping.
I have a nephew who is a Marine JAG and he doesn’t like Obama at all.
you’re off subject but to answer, foolishly perceived lesser of two evils
I assume that most patriotic Americans despise Obama. Anyone in the military who thinks Obama is anything but a domestic (or perhaps foreign) enemy of America is not culturally American.
