I recently saw the St Crispin’s Day speech done by the actor who plays Loki in “The Avengers”.
Absolutely no passion whatsoever. He simply recited, not acted.
Branagh raised the bar, no doubt of it!

Sir Laurence Olivier did a good job of it too, back in the 40s.
It goes beyond that. We wouldn’t put up with leaving our enemies with their ideology intact after those wars. Slavery was ended. Nazism was ended. Japanese militarism was ended.
We won’t face up to the ideology at work here.

What do parents out there say. My kids were spanked and I have an RN, real estate agent, elementary school teacher, electrician trainer and attorney as adult children now.

Any job worth doing is worth doing well, and if you don't think folks in more menial jobs are important, just imagine their job left undone...
I deal with people every day who are at times unsure of how well they are doing things, or that their work may fall short, and I give them one standard: "Do your best."
They haven't failed me yet.
That's a start. Ditch all the hyphenations. They are only convenient dividing lines, pigeonholes for the media and those who sow the seeds of destruction.
"American" should be sufficient, first, last, and always.

AS IRON MUNRO THOUGHTFULLY POSTED: Anyone who places foreign ancestry, skin color, sex organs, sexual perversion(s), political agenda and/or personal characteristic before their American citizenship, and the US Constitution, is not presidential material.....and cannot ever be deemed a bona fide American citizen.
That includes the current president on down to hyphenates serving in the US Congress, the senate, and other govt positions. And the scourge of hyphenated pressure groups. All of them doing the bidding of foreign governments advancing the overthrow of the US govt.
