When our children were living at home, one of our most meaningful Christmas morning traditions was very simple. We would gather our family around the Christmas tree where, in sight of the gifts we were receiving from one another, we would read the Christmas story together. It was a gentle reminder that the reason we give gifts is not because the Magi brought gifts to the Christ-child. Rather, our gifts of love for one another were a reflection of Gods infinitely greater Gift of love to us.
As we rehearsed the familiar story of angels, shepherds, and the manger scene, it was our hope that the magnitude of what God had done that first Christmas would overshadow our best attempts at displaying our love for each other.
Nothing could ever match the gift God has given us in His Son, a reality which echoes in Pauls words to the church at Corinth, Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! (2 Cor. 9:15).
Clearly, Gods willingness to send His Son to be our rescue is a gift that words cannot fully comprehend. This is the gift that we celebrate at Christmasfor Christ Himself is truly what matters most.

Hosts some fantastic Air Shows too.
Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
Hi Pro...((HUGS))...packed for your sister’s house. 4 wheel at the ready? Snow issues expected?

Lotsa food to consume and fun, old stories to tell :-)
Any snow your way?
Luke is going through vast changes as it is given new life to become a major AF training center for the new F-35A, the AF version of the new Joint Strike fighter.
The communities around Luke in NW valley of the sun have pushed to help Luke get repurposed for life as the F-16 begins its move out and the F-35 comes in with hundreds of millions of new aircraft and dozens of new Squadron Operations, AMUs, Academic Training Center with FMS simulators, new hangers and fueling features.
New medical center renovations and other upgrades are underway as well.
While I am not with the AF, I am very involved with this airbase the last few years and can comment on questions anyone has from a non-pilot capacity.
Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...lessons this week?
Got air in your tires?
We got a couple inches of snow. Sure made driving easier this morning. And tomorrow we start adding a couple of minutes of daylight each day.
