The Monday morning reading out of Port Hardy, BC, Canada, reported a west wind of 188 knots (216 mph!) at about 33,000 feet. A check of the flight data on a Southwest Air flight showed ground speeds were over 700 mph at cruising altitudes. [Seattle to Denver, 1 hour 50 minutes!]

You should fly Beijing to Las Vegas on Sundays.
You could watch all the early NFL games at the Beijing Airport, then bet all the winners when you get off the plane at 9AM in Vegas.
Which helps explain why the SR-71 seemed so far ahead of its time - it never got all the way back to the future where it was originally invented...

Buy a tail wind is also a head wind. Going the other way might be a problem
