tting North Korea back on its list of terrorism sponsors, after the hacking of Sony Pictures, reports the BBC.
Speaking on CNN, Obama said a decision on the issue would be taken after a review, though he stressed that the attack was considered an act of cyber-vandalism, not of war.
He said officials in Washington would examine all the evidence to determine whether North Korea should be put back on the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
"I'll wait to review what the finding are," Obama said, adding that he did not think the attack "was an act of war".
North Korea had been on the U.S. list for two decades until the White House removed it in 2008, after Pyongyang agreed to full verification of its nuclear sites.
The FBI announced on Friday that North Korea was responsible for the cyber-attack on Sony Pictures.

Lol. What a tool. Vandalism is the new youtube video.
Ooohhhh, that’ll show ‘em.
Obama says it's a good idea.
Is that like Double Secret Probation?
Putting them on a list huh?
That’s gonna hurt.
To put them back on the terror list? That is his ‘good idea’? It was nuts to take them off. Now he’s thinking about it.
That’s his aid defend and protect list
They were off that list???
A better alternative would be to use nukes to such an extent that there is nothing left of NK to consider for “terrorist status.”
How about we invoke the status of “terrorist” in regard to our own survival.
We pay for all these frickin’ nukes, and never seem to deem any adversary worthy to use them on. What a waste of tax-payer dollars, as is all the worthless nonsense a third of my labor goes for.
The Middle East should have been a parking lot long ago, and the NKs should be now. ‘Nuff said.
Much cheaper and safer to encourage the PRC to just move in there and take over all of NK. They would do it for the right motivation. I could probably think of 1001 reasons why they should.
NMo...in the 2008 article, Obama said the Bush deal was a good idea.
Now that’s funny!
Of course Obama would have back then, and for half an excuse even now. I’m just shocked that Bush ever thought it was a good idea, and did it. Some countries should never be off the terror list, just as a matter of policy.
Translation: The Norks didn’t stage this attack —MY GUYS DID.
But in your minds I need to build up a conceptual framework so that later when I turn America’s lights out (as she richly deserves), it will all MAKE SENSE.
And you suckers will blame the baaaad NORKS.
“adding that he did not think the attack “was an act of war”.
There are no words suitable for me to use on this forum to describe what I’m thinking right now.
I’m sure he would follow up with a sternly worded letter as well.
