Is there no legitimate protest against police violence?

Please rephrase: Is there no protest against legitimate police violence?

Don’t get confused..................................

I’m not confused. I used a quote from the article.

Don’t you go twisting content to fit your prejudices.

The properly outraged “NY Police Union Head” mistakenly suggested that any protest against any police violence.

That’s and understandable overstatement of what is occurring.

Folks can protest what they perceive as illegitimate / excessive police use of force. That issue will / can / should be argued in public. We cannot be saying that police use of force is an untouchable subject for debate, and the cops are always in the right.

Protest oughtn’t turn into any suggestion of or incitement to murder.

We can have both a full public airing of opinion about police behavior without condoning murder of cops.

Unless someone is suggesting that the First Amendment is suspended when it comes to the behavior of the police.

Are you?
