Powerful GOP leader Eric Cantor was defeated by Dave Brat in Virginias Republican Primary mainly over amnesty for illegal aliens and over-spending. Now is it time for some famous conservative to rent a townhouse just outside Springfield, Ohio, and start campaigning against Speaker of the House John Boehner in the 8th Congressional District (C.D.)?
People will believe that the campaign manager who knocked off Eric Cantor can do it again to John Boehner. We should field Zachary Werrell, the brilliant young campaign manager who engineered Brats astonishing upset over Cantor, despite being vastly outspent.
Establishment Republicans have already betrayed their campaign promises and lurched back to their liberal base course. Immediately after Republican victories, they passed the CRomnibus Bill spending $1.1 trillion in fiscal year 2015 and fully funding Obamacare and Obamas unconstitutional executive order amnesty. Boehner allowed Obama and outgoing Democrat leaders to tie the hands of the new Republican Congress for a year.
In January, Republicans will seat more Congressmen in the U.S. House than at any time in 83 years. Yet with 69 of the nations 99 legislative houses now controlled by the GOP, Boehner and soon-to-be Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell flipped the Republican Party the middle finger.
By contrast, there are plenty of charismatic, popular, and conservative Republican leaders like Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Mike Lee, and more. They are fighting hard to implement the Republican Partys core goals. There are far more honest Republicans than the small inner circle leading the Party astray.

So are you ready to think outside the box? Conservatives are upset with Republican leaders in Congress and GOP candidates for not using all the tools available to them and not being creative in finding new solutions to stubborn and difficult problems. So are we using all our tools? Conservative activists need to be innovative, open-minded, creative, and persistent in finding the key levers of power and influence. Are you doing what you want our leaders to do?
I nominate, for the sake of discussion, Christine ODonnell. Im not optimistic she would do it, even though she has understood in the past the priority of saving the country. But if you have a better suggestion, lets hear it. It must be someone with huge notoriety, so they would get news coverage and conservatives would donate. Most of all, it has to be someone who cares enough about the country to take real action. Too often those who are willing arent able and those who are able arent willing.
Some other names on my wish list would include retiring Congressman Steve Stockman (TX), Allen West, Jenny Beth Martin, Phyllis Schlafly, Joe Farah, Ken Cuccinelli, Sharron Angle, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Joe Miller from Alaska, Alan Keyes, retiring Congressman Paul Broun (GA), Laura Ingraham, Eric Erickson, Katie Pavlich, Michelle Malkin, Lars Larson, or Michelle Bachman (who has a huge family she wouldnt move). (Broun and Stockman ran in primaries for the U.S. Senate, so they did not drop out of politics.) Sarah Palin could save the country better by moving to Ohio than by tweeting from her kitchen table. Neither Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, nor Mark Levin would move, Im sure.
Simple, straightforward.
Boehner is bad for the country, bad for the caucus, and bad for your congressman.
Christine O’Donnell? The one who ‘is not a Witch?’ This lady has some of the same problems Sarah Palin had a few years back, with both political parties likely to be working against her. The GOP, won’t be receptive, because she is seen as a non serious disruppter, the Dems, because she can be lead to say silly things on the air.
I’m all for getting rid of Boehner though. On that, we agree.
Yes. Boehner needs a job he can handle. Maybe janitorial services.
Sarah Palin?
Pat Caddell conservative?
As much as I can’t stand Boehner, I can’t abide by carpetbagging.
“A big-name conservative should move now into Ohio’s 8th”
That makes A LOT OF SENSE. Just as the article mentions (or doesn’t, haven’t read it yet), even a little twit like Brat forced Cantor to “Act” Conservative, at least until he swatted Brat out of the way (which, of course, the reverse happened).
Have a conservative in Boener’s district pose a credible threat to him and he will become a LOT MORE conservative, especially given the Cantor experience. You can BET YOUR LIFE ON IT.
First, let’s vet Zachary Werrell, before nominating him.
Second, don’t mention Christine ODonnell if you want to be taken seriously.
Fair or not, her name is an established media joke, and you can’t fix that.
Third, you better have a clear line on 2 or 3 current House Conservatives, to move into the Speaker’s position.
The rest of the column is just venting, not a “plan”.
“As much as I cant stand Boehner, I cant abide by carpetbagging.”
He’s the SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE. No carpetbagger will defeat him...unless his stupidity permits it. You’re confusing other cases where a good, solid, Republican who doesn’t have much money is defeated by carpetbagger who brings wads of cash and destroys his name...as did Ariana Huffinton’s husband in California, in 1992. Now that was dirty...

I hate that picture.
Almost as much as Christie and Obama walking on the beach after the Sandy Hurricane.
That’s why it’s effective.
Activity to topple the Boehnheads in the primaries for the next elections must visibly begin now.
Yes. Christine O’Donnell. I would donate for that.
Every female Republican becomes an “established media joke” immediately she becomes a contender
Boehner is not up for reelection till 2016. Removing him NOW as Speaker should be the goal.
We don’t need him removed from the Republican Party (although that would be nice), just remove his power.
