...and how could you ever get a decent bid if you had to put in a cancellation clause for those big money government jobs??!!!

If the private sector had to pay the inflated rates we pay for govt. construction, it would tank the economy. Private contractors are about half what govt. contractors are.

Could be, but that wasn’t my point.

Gov’t contracts can and do get cancelled...no reason why many of the white elephants that are contracted couldn’t be cancelled either.

The real problem lies in the budget “process” as it is in DC.

All one has to do is look at fiscal spending and what happens starting in July-August of every fiscal year...”SPEND IT ALL OR WE WON’T GET THE SAME OR MORE MONEY NEXT YEAR!!!!”

A damned waste is what it is...and it starts in DC.
