I understand. One's a GM Chevrolet product, and one's a Ford Mercury product.

I meshed them together without full explanation because they are both muscle cars. Either that, or some other random synaptic firing took place in my brain.

I saw a Cougar with cowl induction and immediately thought: yeah, less than seven mpg and I bought a used '71 SS 396 with cowl induction and an automatic transmission.

Automatic transmission = additional confirmation that I am an idiot.

I'm still not a fan of the cougar's spoiler, but you posted the best cougar on this thread.
