Lt. Col. Allen West, reacting to Jeb Bushs announcement on Tuesday that hes seriously considering a 2016 presidential bid, used strong words to describe the politics of the former Republican Florida governor.
Appearing on FOX News with Sean Hannity, West, referring to Bush running against Democrat frontrunner Hillary Clinton, said that match is the last thing the country needs, labeling Jeb Bush a big government progressive.
When you look at by the time we get to 2016, were going to have a country with $20 trillion in debt; were going to have a massive, bureaucratic, administrative, regulatory state, and the last thing we need to see is a big government, progressive Republican running against a bigger government progressive socialist Democrat.
The former Florida congressman contends that in order for Republicans to win in the 2016 presidential race, the party needs to clearly delineate their vision and that of the Democrat Party.
In his famous 1975 CPAC speech, Ronald Reagan also encouraged the GOP to offer bold differences, saying, Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people.
West asserted that the biggest problems for a Jeb Bush presidential candidacy are going to be his unacceptable positions on amnesty and Common Core.

The first one (top) is more subtle.
Look at the body language.
GHWB and The Usurper are totally relaxed.
They are addressing each other as equals.
Jeb is on the edge of his seat, the kid at the adult party, hoping he’ll get to dip into the punch bowl.
Those are going to be the choices from here on out.
Jeb Bush?
The GOPe?
Allen West?
Only Allen West
Yep. Reminds me of this guy....
My post 2 days ago....
The GOPe backed McCain, knowing he would lose.
The GOP backed Romney, knowing he would lose.
The GOP will back another super RINO, knowing he will lose.
But look who WON because we lost?
The Chamber of Commerce
Big banks
American based multinational corporations
They want amnesty, and Obamacare, so they can shift all of the costs on the American taxpayer, while they reap all the profits.
Nice(deadly) game, if you have the money to play......Heads they win, tails they win.
Boehner & McConnell just sold America to the above-mentioned highest bidders.
It will sit just fine with them, because they completely ignore Allen West
West is a fine man. We need 100 more, though.
Maybe not here....but, yeah he's fooling millions of people.
So what’s the news here ? The Leftwing of the gop is the problem . The voters rejected those establishment folks in the past two prez elections and now want to make it 3 in a row . I’m going with my gut ,,,,, Teddy boy is the RIGHT man for the job along with even more (R’s ) winning in local elections in 2016 ,,, the last chance to revive the R party before the just merge with the Donkey party and the TEA PARTY begins .
If we can keep going the way of this past election, we’ll get there!
We need more “Col West” and less “Boehner-McConnell”, in our Congress.
What you say is true.
I think this is also true:
The commentators, pundits, experts and consultants (you know, the Karl Roves of the world) fill their pockets with each election spectacular.
They are firmly in bed with the RINOs who will pay them big fat fees to package and prettify their loser butts for the public.
If a true Conservative like West is nominated, then guys like Rove et al are out of a job for the whole cycle.
If someone like West actually *WINS* then they are out of a job for good. (The Democrats already have Carville, they don’t need another.)
When they say that a Conservative can’t win, what they mean is that *THEY* can’t win if a Conservative is running.
Truth always hurts corrupt and un-American politicians. And that describes most of today’s politicians.
I said it before, Jeb needs to declare himself a Democrat... that ‘s what he is anyway
He’d have a much better chance of winning that way.
LTC West, if he isn’t in the race for POTUS or VP, should definitely rate as one of the top cabinet officers. But which one?
Foggy Bottom (State Department) is just an empty pit where careers are sent to die.
DoD needs to be cleaned up, but there are good candidates for SecDef, and truthfully, it would waste West’s time. Donald Rumsfeld did much, but had a brutal fight on his hands.
So I think his best role would be as an “enhanced” National Security Advisor, but tasked with the role as well of reforming, streamlining, and bringing back to constitutional order the 17 agencies in the Intelligence Community.
It would be a Herculean task, and he would need solid presidential and congressional backing to do it. Plus he would likely need to create a military style staff of other former officers who know how to get things done.
Likely whoever was the VP would be in overall charge of doing the same in the rest of the bureaucracy, so LTC West would just be one of the “hatchet men”, but a particularly important one.
West would also have to work closely with whoever was Secretary of Homeland Security, the two of them closing America’s borders to illegal traffic.
Rove similarly opened fire on Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., for talking about Monica Lewinsky and potential Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the same breath.
....Carl Rove? We're listening to Carl again?
We know that Jeb loves his country, family, parents, cares for the Military, respects the law-enforcers etc. But stubbornly supports a program designed not to educate but to indoctrinate...it is called Common Core. If Jeb Bush hangs his bonafides on government programs like that, I wonder what other gov'mt programs he champions....really do like what I see and hear from Senator Cruz.
He’s unelectable nationally.....IMO.
I’m sure Col West knows, if you’re taking flack, you’re over the target.
