Kills me when people come back from Cuba bragging about how great it is. Tourist get on the air conditioned travel bus, get off at a government sponsored resort, go on government approved tours, and then think they've seen Cuba.

do they notice when they ride down “The Ocho”, the 8 lane highway that connects Havana to Santa Clara, do they notice the lack of cars, that the drive has to keep changing lanes because there has been real maintenance since the Soviets built it. They don't see the sorrow of parents who can't afford to buy milk for their kids after their government ration ends at age 7.

Then and idiot like Tom Harkin comes back bragging on Cuba's health care system because the commies took him on a tour of a elite hospital. Meanwhile the average Cuban who is not a member of the Party ends up in a hospital where their family has to bring in meals, bedding, and even medicine.

“Useful idiots” doesn’t begin to describe them.
