Yep. I am hoping I don’t meet or break the low number this winter.
I am paying for heat this time.

Robert Louis Stevenson called
Talisker "the king of drinks" and wrote "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde."
Therefore as these things form the foundation of my understanding of politics, I thought it worthy of my FReepname.

I remember a few winters ago when we were colder than you were most of the time. You had no snow and hated all that darkness. Checking out the AK web cams periodically, the difference between snow and no snow is quite apparent.
Yeah, it’s cold enough now that the wet stuff I see on the radar will be snow when it gets here shortly. Probably won’t get much here and it’ll melt after the sun comes up. Par for the curse in these parts.

OUCH! That’ll hurt a lot if the temps drop that low again.
Our house is 100 yrs. old and not well insulated so our bills are plenty high enough with the temps we get. I can’t imagine how high they are up there.

We read typo just fine....driving in the dark isn’t so bad if there aren’t other cars. It’s hard to see the side of the road and/or the edges of the island separating the lanes.

Not much fun when you can’t see where you’re going, that’s for sure. It doesn’t help that critters seem to like to appear out of the darkness to run right in front of the car at the last second. That’s always a jolt to the adrenaline glands!

You got it....the snow just shows the “edges” better; and seeing dark moose against the white snow is good.
