We would not have Obummer if Seven of Nine had been an exhibitionist.
I started out as “60 in 06” believing the Republicans were going to destroy the Bolshecrats. I had it changed to “depressed in 06” when the Bolshies, without reason, took the Senate. Do not have high hopes for ending my depression in the future.
I like Bronze Pencil but Coffee Cup would have also been cute.
Others I admire in country music would be Alan Jackson, Dean Dillan. I think Toby Keith is an excellent writer (with his writing partner).
I have always liked Paul Simon and Jimmy Webb (McArthur Park), and John Denver. I think Michael W. Smith is an excellent writer. In the old days I think there were few as good as Neil Diamond. There are so many I am sure I am leaving many off of the list.
Now, Texas songwriters I enjoy and believe are excellent writers are Delbert McClinton, Robert Earl Keen, Don Henley. Henley lives about 75 miles from me. in northeast Texas.
God evening, Janey...((HUGS))...very cool name that matches you well. Neat that you were “dancing” to the tunes.
Ah shucks, Ma. LOL
Good evening, ML...((HUGS)...wondered which site you left. d:o)
Thanks for your Service, FRiend!
I live on the east fork of the San Jacinto River, was called eastforker when I had my bar on that river. It just stuck.
It was called GOPUSA. Still in existence, but a mere shadow of its former self.
Thanks for your Service, FRiend!
I’ve never had a problem with my nickname, it’s what I’ve gone by for 64 years. I used to be kidded about it here and there and my answer is: “I’ve been a Dick all my life and I’m not changing now”, “I’m the only real Dick in the room”, and in my early military career as a Marine sergeant, “Keep it up and you’ll find out what it means to be Dicked”.
The Major Dick name was always taken in the humorous nature with which it was given.
Must leave for an appointment. Then home. Back when I get there.
Good job, Pro!!
Thought a certain Special Prosecutor was going to come up big time. 16 years later I’ve had that optimistic crap knocked out of me.
I've located about a dozen guys in my division on line most of them from my old shop. But I found them elsewhere usually on the ships website when it had a forum. One HT lives just a few miles from me but I've only seen him a few times since 1980. Another guy I went to high school with quit school his junior year. I saw him walking on the Hanger Deck two years later. That was a shock to both of us. LOL He enlisted and had a year and a half in before me.
There's some USS America vets on here I just can't remember their users right now. Maybe four or five of us. I'm also looking for Ranger Snipes era 1972- 75 thereabouts. My chief was a snipe on Ranger, went to the P.E.B. as an examiner, then America and I'm trying to track him down. MMCM Robert "Whale" Albrecht. He was a MM2 on the Ranger I'm told. He's the one who named me Dog. It stuck the duration. LOL.
I saw your daughters, they’re gorgeous, congratulations!
Was it hard to have your birthday so close to Christmas when you were a kid?
No. They haven’t found a big enough chunk of coal.
What, dumb and dumber :-)?
