A tour guide and I were mistaken for hookers and asked to leave the Ritz Hotel in Paris. We are both white.
We had on cheap plastic raincoats and entered the Ritz to go to the coffee shop for coffee as it was very cold outside. A highly dressed man employed by the Ritz, came to us and asked us to leave. We had no choice, we had to leave. Once outside, the tour guide said he must have thought we were hookers based on the flimsy raincoats we had on.
Remember this - wearing a cheap raincoat means you may be a hooker, no matter your skin color.
No, Laz, as much as you want it to be true - I am not a hooker. :o)
I asked a man what time it was when I was on an overnight in Oklahoma City several years ago. There was some huge convention and I was walking with the crowd to find a restaurant. The man looked at me, grinned and said, “How much?”
I was stunned and ran from him into an Italian restaurant. I guess I looked pretty shaken because the owner asked if I was ok. I told him what the guy said and tried to laugh it off. I was led to a nice table and while waiting for service, heard the owner say something to my waiter about taking good care of me as I had been accosted on my way there.
Now, one flight attendant I worked with was offered $20,000 for one night by some guy in Vegas, which she promptly turned down.
$20,000 would but a lot of therapy. Just sayin’.,,,
;-)
“A tour guide and I were mistaken for hookers.............”
Thankfully no one has ever taken me for someone who could get paid to have sex.
Yes, it's true.
Those cheap raincoats have gotten many a nice young lady in trouble.
