Michelle Obama wants you to feel bad for her, and for Barack, because they are black.
“I think people forget that we’ve lived in the White House for six years,” Michelle says in People Magazine. “Before that, Barack Obama was a black man that lived on the South Side of Chicago, who had his share of troubles catching cabs.”
Oh, the horror.
Why didn’t the emperor clean up Chicago neighborhoods with his pen and his phone while he was there? Cabs likely would have stopped more frequently if the city, especially the South and West Sides, wasn't infested by crime.
No doubt there is racism in Chicago, a city I lived in longer than Barack Obama did.
But much of it is the latent kind—and it’s committed by both whites and blacks.
Chicago, you’ll remember, is a city that is home to the Jesse Jacksons, both senior and junior.
And as a white man, remind me to tell you the times I’ve had trouble catching a cab in the rain or the cold in Washington, D.C, another city in which I lived longer than Barack Obama did.
No doubt there is racism in D.C. and much of it is the active kind.
D.C. is a city where Mayor-for-Life Marion Barry, despite his many crimes, succeeded as a race baiter because he was black.
Michelle Obama goes on to say that she’s been mistaken for a worker at Target.
Oh, the horror.
Why don’t you try being a worker at Target, Michelle, which after all is an honorable job?
Because there was the time I remember when I was flagged down as a bus boy at the Ritz Carlton. No mistake there. I was an actual bus boy at the Ritz Carlton as an adult because it was the best job I could get. And it was damn hard, honorable, good-paying work for someone who was a writer.
I was very happy to have the opportunity.
See, what Michelle fails to mention is how much she owes America for the opportunity.
What other country in the world would have given Barack Hussein Obama a chance at a time when the word is engaged in a vast war against radical Islam?
Then there is the matter of Obama’s mansion in Chicago.
What other country in the world would have overlooked the crooked payoff the Obamas got-- not just from Tony Rezko, who made their mansion purchase possible-- but from the entire Chicago Outfit, including major media, like the Chicago Tribune? The Tribune endorsed Obama despite knowing EXACTLY who Barack Obama was.
Yes, no doubt there is racism in this country. But it is a product of both sides, black as well as white. And most definitely, on average, the Obamas have benefited from such racism.
After all, they have not suffered from the real racism endemic to America: The education system has served them both very well; there have been no extended periods of unemployment for either of them; Barack has not been incarcerated over petty drug dealing; if Obama suffers from a shortened life span it will likely because of his smoking, not his race.
Where real racism amongst blacks resides is in education, employment, incarceration and longevity. And Michelle and Barack have no real experience in actually solving any of those problems. In fact, Obama killed the one education program in D.C. aimed at giving blacks an equal footing in regards to education.
And oh, let me tell you, that’s horrible.
And racist too.
The Obamas have received abundantly from this country because they are black.
It’s time for them to stop scolding a country that gave them so much.
And give back because they are black.
And just WHO is it that drives those cabs, Michelle? I lived in Chicago for years, took plenty of taxis, and it was a very rare Caucasian cab driver. Most were American black men, or African immigrants or Middle Easterners and some East or South Asians. Many volunteered, without asking by me, that they would not even go to the heart of the South Side because they were scared to death to pick any fare up there. If that’s racism, I guess its self-hatred because they were often the same race as the people they declined to take as passengers.
Years ago you never would have seen a black sales person in a retail store. Years before that you wouldn’t have seen an Irish or an Italian sales clerk.
I am surprised she was mistaken for a sales clerk at Target. Their sales people are better groomed and better dressed. I think she is lying. Lying like a rug.
So have I, and I am white. More than once. Seems to happen when I wear my red polo shirts to Target. :)
The only reason Obama is President is because he is black, He had no qualifications or experience which is why this country is deeper in the crapper than it has ever been. I suppose next we get Warren who is the white female version of Obama. Then we will need a homosexual male, a lesbian and a transgender. Who knows what kind of perversity will be popular after that.

One time an elderly lady asked to get something off a high shelf for her. However, the possibility exists that she mistook me for a Worker! How will I ever be able to hold my head up in polite society again!?

Before becoming president, King Barack and Queen Michelle and their two daughters, Malaria and Sasquatch were forced to live in this lowly,
cramped, former sharecroppers shack on Chicago's South Side.
Being dirt poor negroes and accustomed to being discriminated against, they were unable to pay the full $1.95 asking price and had to seek
price concessions from the seller before they could take ownership. Once they were able to purchase the home they had to borrow a garbage
truck from the City of Chicago to move their meager household goods from their former residence, a cardboard refrigerator box located under
a nearby railroad underpass.
Barack, being of slight build was unable to work the broken power steering on the garbage truck and had to ride on the back of the truck while
Michelle did the driving. As they made their way to the new home people were rushing to the street to dump their gargae into the passing garbage truck.
This would not have happened if they were white skinned born into White Privilege.
Over the years there have been times I’ve be a victim of blacks... I’m sure we can have a GRAND OLD PITY PARTY that will match any one modern day blacks can put out.

Someone needs to ask Morgan Freeman to reprise his role as a member of the Electric Company and teach Michelle the difference between racism and self-preservation.
Morgan can be one of the silhouettes and she can be the other one. He can tell her what her notions of racism boil down to Electric Company style.

Near the very end, the players tell how our country would end up if we did everything Michelle would like us to. The very last word tells what part of her needs the most improvement.
I asked a man what time it was when I was on an overnight in Oklahoma City several years ago. There was some huge convention and I was walking with the crowd to find a restaurant. The man looked at me, grinned and said, “How much?”
I was stunned and ran from him into an Italian restaurant. I guess I looked pretty shaken because the owner asked if I was ok. I told him what the guy said and tried to laugh it off. I was led to a nice table and while waiting for service, heard the owner say something to my waiter about taking good care of me as I had been accosted on my way there.
Now, one flight attendant I worked with was offered $20,000 for one night by some guy in Vegas, which she promptly turned down.
$20,000 would but a lot of therapy. Just sayin’.,,,

I used to live where the Obamas lived — in Hyde Park. I never saw a cab cruising around there, looking for a fare. The community was too far from the Loop and there wasn’t enough going on down there. Sounds like another BS story.

I get asked all the time to get stuff off the top shelf when i go shopping. I am a touch over 6ft and i don’t work retail.....
Next time i am going to ball out the person asking and accuse them of “short privileged behavior” by thinking us tall people are there for their usage....

Hey Moosch how about saying this instead; ‘I’m honored and humbled to have the privilege to be the First Lady and to be of service to the nation and to my fellow Americans’.
But noooooo—instead we get the arrogance and ungrateful elitism dibble. Fact is they are both very unworthy of the honor and forfeit any good will from the citizens by their own words and actions. Puke on them both and it has nothing to do with their ‘holy black color’ but lack of character.
