Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!
Like many of you, our family was blessed with the opportunity to gather together over the recent Thanksgiving holiday.
Columba and I are so proud of the wonderful adults our children have become, and we loved spending time with our three precious grandchildren.
We shared good food and watched a whole lot of football.
We also talked about the future of our nation. As a result of these conversations and thoughtful consideration of the kind of strong leadership I think America needs, I have decided to actively explore the possibility of running for President of the United States.
In January, I also plan to establish a Leadership PAC that will help me facilitate conversations with citizens across America to discuss the most critical challenges facing our exceptional nation. The PACs purpose will be to support leaders, ideas and policies that will expand opportunity and prosperity for all Americans.
In the coming months, I hope to visit with many of you and have a conversation about restoring the promise of America.
Best wishes to you and your families for a happy holiday season. Ill be in touch soon.
Onward, Jeb Bush
This is why I think Jeb will flame out early. The other GOPe candidates in past elections (GWB, McCain, Romney) attempted to court the conservatives (to a degree). Jeb has essentially told the right, “I don’t need you”. That, along with Bush fatigue even in the right of center electorate will doom Jeb early in the primaries.
2016 maybe the first year I actually won’t vote. If by the time the primary gets to Texas and all that is left is losers like Jeb and Christie I will stay home then and in the general. It is a sad time.
So he’ll finish third behind Lizzie Warren and either Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin.
Too many PARENTS are upset with CommonCore .. and it may be his downfall.
He says he wants to restore the American Dream .. but you can’t do that if you refuse to see CommonCore for what it is .. the dumbing down of our children.
WON’T VOTE FOR HIM. I may vote the rest of the ballot, but I will never vote for him.
Oh, that’s simple: he’ll do a rush name-change and catch people’s votes when they see “SARAH PALIN” on the ballot.
You are thinking they actually want to win.
I think they run the GOPe types because they want to loose.
McCain was absolutely dead in the water and going no where until the rocket fuel that was Palin. With Palin, McCain almost pulled it off... until he announced eight days before the election that we had nothing to worry about with an Obama presidency.
I voted for her, with the hopes he’d loose his mind (wait.. that already happened) and step down allowing Palin to take over.
Jeb, old man, you couldn’t possibly be more wrong about the kind of strong leadership America needs.
Good.....he does need to lose weight.................oh, wait..........
Not being confrontational here ... but just who besides this clown would be that establishment nominee of which you speak?
Romney...
Pataki...
Christie...
Huckster...
indeed, enhanced a lot!
He would make a great President for ........ Mexico
LOL. Fat Chance.
The bigger problem for McCain was his “I’m suspending my campaign” moment during the financial crisis. He flew back to Washington where, unlike Obama who was taking the Dem leadership role, he sat quietly and didn’t do squat.
Bush fatigue, yes - something Jeb is conveniently overlooking. But it’s deeper than just Bush fatigue - it’s the related, and absurd notion that we must be/should be run by a few oligarch families. We don’t buy that.
Liberals might - they love the Kennedys, the Bidens, the Clintons, and so on - and they love their 40-50 year veteran members of Congress. Not us....
No sense of entitlement is worse than a political sense of entitlement.
