Are they still doing the bus tours that take you through selected parts of the boneyard?

Now was that in Orlando or between Orlando and Lakeland on I-4? I wanted to go to that one the last time I visited the mouse but I ran out of time.

I can think of no other term for it - a day from Hell!
I Sallied Forth from the Castle at 0540 and barely made the 6:00 a.m. train out of Laurel - one stop on the way into the Federalplex. No sooner did we complete that stop, and the Conductor asked to see tickets, when our train struck someone trying to cross the tracks. We were stopped at the scene for 2-1/2 hours while the police, TSA, and other agencies investigated. The man died.
They finally released us and we proceeded to the Greenbelt Station, where we were placed on another train. Although the trains were alongside one another at the station, this process involved a long walk down one handicapped ramp - at least a hundred yards - under the tracks and up an equally long ramp to get to the second train. Actually, the downhill walk is more difficult - you have to go slowly to avoid losing your balance.
After it was all over, I finally hit the Office at 10:30. I worked until 6:00, when we close, and proceeded on to Metro to Union Station to catch the 6:55 train home. That train was cancelled because they were still doing investigative work at the accident site. I consulted the information office and was assured that the 7:45 train was running.
Turning lemon to lemonade, I went to the Centre Cafe, a spot I am know to frequent, had dinner and a few glasses of Cabernet. Caught the 7:45 train - entered through my usual entrance - the rear car, which is the Handicapped car. Usually at Laurel, we exit from all cars. Tonight, we could only exit between cars 1 and 2. I was at the end of car 2 adjacent to car 3.
When we got to the exit, I stood up and started to walk down to the front end of car 2. My walker would not fit between the seats. I had to fold it up, balance the basket with my bag and all my stuff on it and walk down the aisle pushing my walker in front of me. About halfway down the car, a young man asked me if he could help. I gave him my bag and asked him to notify the Conductor that I needed assistance. The Conductor came back and carried my walker the rest of the way to the door and I was finally able to make it onto the platform. I was totally exhausted.
I arrived back at the Castle at 2040 hours, fifteen hours after I Sallied Forth.

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

In September I went to Burgundy in France to see the grape harvest.
If you Google Map. Savigny-les-Beaune, France and zoom in you will see several dozen jets along the A6 motorway. It is a privately owned museum that has mostly Russian stuff. There is a castle on the grounds that has about every motorcycle ever made, many of them in original condition. And to top it off, several large buildings with 2 floors of race cars. The engines have been pulled from some of the planes and are on display as well as a number of radial prop motors. Only spent a couple hours there and it was a complete surprise.

One can get a cheap tour by looking for it on Google Earth. South side of Tuscon, east side of I-10.

Oh my goodness...you surely did have the day from H E Double Hockey Sticks.
Downhill is VERY bad and VERY hard on knees. The train folks should have made some accommodations for those handicapped passengers. A letter should be in order just to remind them of their jobs and obligations.
Glad you are safely home and were able to eat on the way. *HUGS*
