Under Miller vs US, the Supreme Court ruled that ONLY arms suitable for militia use were protected by the 2A.
by definition every firearm is suitable for the militia because the militia bring their own. IMO
I would really like to have an M3 Grease gun. That was a fun little critter to shoot. It was also the first weapon that was my personal issue weapon when I went into the Reserves in ‘85.
I miss that gun.
That’s the way the gun banners want it, they want to ban anything NOT for military use and then ban anything that IS FOR military use. Next they will want to ban the military, it is already so screwed up it might not make much difference anyway. Soon I expect them to ban one of the most fearsome weapons ever seen on Earth, a sixteen ounce clawhammer. I am amazed that they have not yet tried to ban the carpenter’s hatchet, that is a TRULY scary weapon.
They read it wrong. Screw the Supreme Court and the horse they rode in on.
