About a year ago I went to the doctor for my annual check-up. Prior to beginning the examination, she (the doctor) was looking through my file and noticed that there were several areas on the form that I failed to provide answers for. She went down the list of questions that I did not answer and insisted that I answer them. When she got down to the question about firearms, I told her: “It’s none of your damn business if I own any ‘guns’, but if you persist with this line of questioning I will be forced to shoot you and your entire staff.” She chuckled and replied, “OK, I think we’ll just skip the rest of the questionnaire and get on with the physical examination.” True story.
In most cases you would be in jail, good thing you had a sane questioner who did not report your statement.
