This is the Sunday Morning Talk Show Thread Ping List! If you want to be on it, reply to this post or FReepmail me (in case I miss it). If you want to be taken off, simply send me a FReepmail.

Considering recent events, this lineup is NOT newsworthy. Where's Cruz, Lee and/or Sessions?

“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!

When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written: “‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’” Matthew 2:4-6 NIV

If anyone tries to make the argument that either Party is not run by Marxists they have to look no further than John Bohner and his promotion of the Obama budget. This massive porkfest was filled with every Global Warming, Obamacare boondoggle, immigration protection and Pelosi dream that any good commie could ever wish for. Yes, that is your Republican Party right after the biggest victory in over a hundred years at work. These actions make more and more of us proud to no longer being part of such corruption. As Ronald Reagan once said, I didn’t leave the Party; the Party left me and it is time for the Tea Party to leave as well and start their own.

This would be infuriating if it was not so pathetic that the leadership who spent the last year defeating Conservative election after election only to surrender in such a way that even the French would have been embarrassed. We watched both McConnell and Boehner go after the Tea Party candidates with both barrels as well as stealing an election in MS only to watch them work as one with the Dems once they regained the reins of power. They are so powerless and inept at explaining conservative principles they only look into the cameras and mumble incoherent foolishness as if it were policy. We are way past time to find leaders who are articulate and dynamic like Cruz who is the Republican pariah.

Since the District of Corruption is such a lost cause it is refreshing to watch the invisible hand of capitalism taking control of oil prices. It looks like the Marxist in the WH was not able to stop our oil industry completely and the oil boom of the Dakotas has done its magic. Although he will never understand this concept since he never took a single economics class not based on Karl Marx, we are seeing the beauty of supply and demand. At a time of increased supply from fracking as well as massive finds and drilling around the world including Alaska by Russia, we are seeing a worldwide slowdown in the economy due to Obamanomics.

We have had six years of malaise since the collapse of Fannie and Freddie thanks to Dodd/Frank and the Black Caucus forcing banks to offer bad loans, and Marxism has continued this slowdown. These are the same policies that FDR tried when he extended the Depression with excessive Federal Stimulation stopping the economy’s ability to heal itself. We have seen that again and since America is still the engine of the world the entire world is suffering the continued slowing. What this means in economic terms in relation to oil prices is there is still no demand worldwide for the extra oil being produced.

The beauty of free market capitalism which is being practiced in the Dakotas, Texas, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and Russia is to maintain their cash flow they have to produce more to keep their economies afloat. Now some of the countries have such corrupt and incompetent gummits that they cannot produce more, but the power of the invisible hand forces them to attempt to produce more into a lack of demand causing the prices to fall further to buy up the excess production. This is the perfect storm for countries like America, Western Europe and Asia who are watching their energy costs tumble and profits rise. There is a bit of delay for the cheaper oil to go through the pipeline, but there are some real energy savings on the way which will be a trillion dollar true stimulus to these people.

We are now seeing some stock market drops in the energy companies as they are pummeled on their high priced inventories being sold as huge losses into a falling market. There could and should be some large bankruptcies as they are forced to eat some major red ink similar to the banking crisis attached to the Fannie/Freddie collapse. There does not need to be intervention as the infrastructure is still there for them to begin making profits and perhaps some very nice profits if the world economies can recover from this cheap oil windfall. As these energy producers begin processing some of this cheap oil they will also begin making money on the other side. Like every commodity dealer always say, it doesn’t matter if it is going up or down as long as prices are moving we can make money. In this case they likely minimized the losses on hedges to absorb some of the losses they could have sustained or simply, the market worked.

This economic jumpstart is the difference between Marxism and Capitalism. After a decade of pouring tax dollars into boondoggles like Cash for Clunkers, Obamacare and green energy windmills sucking trillions out of the economy and in spite of Omarxist’s inability to completely stop oil production it very likely will save the day. This could have been done years ago if he and his Party would have encouraged the production of this critical energy supply rather than vilifying it as if cheap energy is the problem and not the solution.

This underlines how foolish the Republican Party is by throwing away a perfectly good argument to pass Obama’s budget. Why in the world do the Repubs want to play nice with the very people who not only caused this mess and made it worse, while vilifying these same congressmen for years. They refuse to stand up for the free market and would rather to continue to be Republicrats who believe if they are one onion skin to the right of the Dems they will continue to being elected to be nothing and do nothing. This week they showed exactly what that means. If they are not part of the solution, they are part of the problem.

Pray America is waking

Note: The above opinion is not necessarily my own, but FReeper Bray’s. If you wish to discuss this, please ping Bray.

Where is the discussion against the 1.1T$ sell out?

Where is the discussion of the absence of Law on the
streets? and the absence of morality to obey the voters
in the selfmade-EXEMPT Congress?

The absolute sell-out of the American people
and the US Constitution continues.

Thanks for thread A.B. But it looks like Sunday shows are all about “torture”, a blinding diversion from what is really going on.

The thing is that unlike the housing bubble, the most important companies in the petroleum business in the USA are all very well-capitalized multinationals and could grab all the small-time companies now doing fracking if needed.

Besides, it would be in the national security interest to keep those new petroleum wells going, too. It would make us way less reliant on OPEC countries, and it also tremendously helps in the balance of trade, too.

Basically, what you are advocating is starting a third party.

We have history with third parties. It's not good.

Quite frankly we have two choices. Start a third party as you advocate or stand up and fight back against those who would take over our party. Neither one is easy. I'm past shilling for a party that pisses me off just as much as anyone else here.

If we want to save the system term limits would be a great start. My biggest fear is starting a third party and ten years from now being in the same place we are now which is very conceivable.

If we are willing to fight to save the GOP it can be done. won't be easy but probably more prudent than starting a third party which gives no guarantee that we won't be right where we are now in ten years.

Morning AB, All....

Singing at the 10 am mass this morn so I am leaving soon.

Not much going on here, thank goodness. Boring is better than emotional chaos.

As always, thank you AB for doing this thread, thank all yon commenters for your wisdom.

Will be back later...still trying to wrap my mind around those guys in the GOP and why on earth they approved that budget.

Thus I will be watching the talk shows closely this morn.

I'm not. That would be Bray.

But I do understand.

What we've GOT to do, is in the NEXT primary season, make sure there is a TEA party/Conservative candidate running against whatever RINO voted "aye" for this bill--in every district--and vigorously support him/her. And select one and only one. Expose the fakers and libertarians financed by the GOPe/democrats. We should make a Free Republic campaign fund starting NOW.

I'm quite serious. I'm tired of listening to naysayers who only TALK. It's past time to piss and moan about the GOPe, we need action! Money talks.

I'll be going to JimRob to get permission to start campaigning now.

Hard to tell what the price of crude will do.
some suggest that fracking costs are somewhere between $45 and $75 per barrel. If the Saudis really want to get rid of frackers, at least for a while, they need to get the price below $40. That could happen, hard to say.
Either way the Saudis make money. But, even with their low cost crude they fund all kinds of stuff that cost mega bucks. Like terrorism, madrassas, other terrorist nations, diversity from crude—buying building, gold, silver, etc. since new energies will happen. Its just a matter of time etc.
The kingdom always plays all sides. They are masters of triangulation. It's how they survive, but it's expensive.
