Earlier today it was reported that McConnell set out for home in KY at 6p last night after thinking it was all over, and Cruz has run the table since. Did Turtle turn around? Has anybody seen him on the Senate floor? \

If he didn’t turn around, this is symbolically serious.

Cruz is just getting started. I am sure he is the one guiding the actions on this issue.

“When Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was asked if he was frustrated with his conservative members on Saturday, he responded to a pair of reporters with a wink and a smile.”

No, McConnell has been there since noon today. Most of the Senators were there by 12:30 pm and they started their procedural votes, which will go late into tonight.

Good point! Oh, I hope this is the end of Yertle and the ascendancy of Cruz.

Heh, maybe Cruz doesn't even have to run for Leader...he'll just lead. What? Is McConnell going to get all wound up and slap him down?

He was on the Senate floor and the Senate had not adjourned or even voted on the spending bill, so I don’t see how that report is possible that he “thought it was all over” and headed home.
