To: A CA Guy

I’m a landlord in GA, not there, but the laws are different in every state. If you are really in CA, you just don’t know.

That being said, I make them list every person, they will, but invariably move someone else in. I have to evict the person once they’re in. That’s it, bottom line.

Same here in CA. I am a landlord in the Hills of Beverly and the same thing is tried here all the time because of a bad economy mostly.
We get near market rent but will ask for maybe another hundred or more a month for a relative to stay and they might be placed on the lease as well by name.
Taxes, water, trash, gardening, building repairs and cost of business expenses constantly go way up. Renters often don't get raised equal to increased expends, so most renters who get increases often are paying less in fact then when they moved in despite rent raises due to all costs increasing to the landlord.
