I think that the rules should apply here, pictures.
She needs a new agent. After all, they don’t work according to a set pay scale.
Plus the star (can’t think of his name) of the movie has a long career in all kinds of movies and sitcoms.
What surprised me most about the Sony emails was the infantile, juvenile nature of the emails. I retired after a number of years as an executive for a large automotive company. There was none of the trashy banter in any of the emails there. Most all were nearly as business-like as a typical memo that might be found in the files (except for a little more use of contractions and shortcuts). It strikes me that the Sony leaders just aren’t ready for big time.
Anyone will tell you, you are worth EXACTLY what you are paid.
Agree. They live and work in a world of dress-up and make-believe, ao maybe not surprising filmdom’s executives are arrested preadolescents. Peter Pans all.
I agree, what a bunch of juveniles.
Did her representatives accept the initial pay offer or did they negotiate a final agreement? Either way, who is to blame for the pay “inequity?” Apparently the male actors value their talents more than Lawrence values her own.
Agents usually take a percentage so there’s an incentive to get the biggest contract possible. Lawrence was probably not convinced of her ability to get big payouts so she choose lower priced contracts to ensure she can get work.
Jennifer needs a new agent.
That’s called negotiating for the highest salary or other consideration. Clearly she didn’t have enough talent or whatever to warrant a higher salary, but did she receive other forms of remuneration - direct of indirect? Who knows? Who cares?
I’m tired of all the women’s rights crap. If she can’t compete against others or is not happy with her offers, she needs to get out the market place. It’s not a women’s right issue in my opinion.
Salary is not the only measure of success and happiness. Otherwise, there’d be a lot more unhappy people in the workplace. Be thankful if you still have a job in Obama’s new progressive America.
From the movies I’ve seen her in, her interviews on TV and reading about her, I like her. I think she’s funny, open and honest - even her exchanges with Joan Rivers were enjoyable to follow.
From my perspective, I think she IS worth more than her counterparts - a lot. As far as I’m concerned, Christian Bale is a hack with a speech impediment and I wouldn’t pay to watch anything he did by himself, and the other stars of the Hunger series aren’t why I watched them, either.
She may be unschooled on the street-smarts of Hollywood, but she is still good nonetheless, and I hope this prompts here to start asking for better pay in her roles.
She had less screen time than the male co-stars too.
who really gives a turd.
She is paid what she agreed to. I’m sure she is paid enough to keep herself awash in butt plugs and donations to leftist causes for a long time to come.
Yup, as we knew all along, the real war on women is being waged by the liberal elites.
And the problem is?.....
I’ve seen her act.I’m kind of surprised that she gets paid at all.
