There’s a good argument to be made for that date. My date is more nebulous. Ultimately I think it was election day/Romney, but thats only the ultimate outcome. I think we passed it when people threw away their beliefs to attempt empower a man with the proven track record of liberalism Romney has. It was then we stopped being America and became something ‘lesser’.
Lesser evil.
Had we elected a conservative or even a non liberal, SCOTUS could have been made irrelevant because O care would have been nulled.
Nah, Bishop Willard would have blessed ObolaCare - after all, it was HIS bastard child in the first place.
Since that day - as well as the signing of EO 13603 - I realized the trajectory of this nation’s plunge into the abyss.
No, I know he would have. That’s the problem. Instead of voting for someone that wouldn’t have, millions decided they didn;t care and voted for him anyway. That lack of rational thinking is what lost America. The fact that people have become so unthinking about matters 2 inches in front of their nose is the core of the problem.
Willard and Mitch and Jonbon and the rest have capitalized on that. But they only hold power OR influence to power because people simply can’t be bothered to care until it bites them in the ass.
Basically, Gruber spoke the truth that dares not speak its name.
He did. And he wasn’t just talking about Democrats. It sucks that it is that way, but it is that way.
To who?
Glad my (AZ) guys (Gosar/Franks) stood strong.
Rand Paul On Shutdown: "Even Though It Appeared I Was Participating In It, It Was A Dumb Idea"I said throughout the whole battle that shutting down the government was a dumb idea. Even though it did appear as if I was participating in it, I said it was a dumb idea. And the reason I voted for it, though, is that it's a conundrum. Here's the conundrum. We have a $17 trillion debt and people at home tell me you can't give the president a blank check. We just can't keep raising the debt ceiling without conditions. So unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, nobody at home wants me to vote for that and I can't vote for that. But the conundrum is if I don't we do approach these deadlines. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester. If we were to extend the sequester from discretionary spending to all the entitlements we would actually fix our problem within a few years.[Posted on 11/19/2013 12:16:51 PM by Third Person]
“Im just saying that there are good Rs here in Kansas that Im happy to vote for.”
I am sure there are, however, they have to raise money that ends up in the GOP coffers. I won’t enable the GOP that way.
I’m working two shifts, and eatin’ bologna!!!
How did Bill Cassidy vote???
Did “Boo Hoo” Mary just leave the seat she held and he stepped in for this vote???
I thought Cassidy wasn’t going to work till next month when he is sworn in???
Just curious...
BA still at 1,000..........worlds record : )
Is there some trick in math to put us over 1K? Because we should qualify. We earned the right. We’re entitled even ;)
And in other news, an undetermined number of formerly loud freepers are still missing. Reports have them aboard a plane over the pacific or something. Nancy Grace Reports ob their disappearance which has left many of their fellow Freepers baffled, coming up at the top of the hour....
There’s a difference? Boner + 0bama Budget just passed.
” Is there some trick in math to put us over 1K? Because we should qualify. “
Hard to top outright perfection : )
” And in other news, an undetermined number of formerly loud freepers are still missing. Reports have them aboard a plane over the pacific or something.”
Please let it be Malaysia Airlines......
We now have the Washington Inside voting against the people.
You have to say that the vast majority of both active Democrats (liberals) and active Republicans (conservatives) hated this bill. Both wings strongly opposed it.
But the leadership of both parties jammed it down the throats of their respectively opposed constituencies, for the betterment of the political class.
Republican leadership just funded Amnesty for Lawbreakers and 0bamacare.
There you go. The Uni-Party has spoken.
......” I’d quibble with you on when the event horizon got passed. IMIO, it was 6/28/12, when one intimidated SCOTUS judge proclaimed that ObolaCare passed Constitutional muster.
THAT was the day we went over the precipice. “
Not a bad starting point. Obama took over from there.
