I wonder if Ben Stein's "astute friend" is Ben Stein.

They have fanned the flames of racial anger to a white hot pitch. He said "white". Not allowed. Racist. Privileged.
To: reaganaut1
What I wonder is when white people are going to start asking black people for reparations for wrecking the public schools,
for destroying urban life in many cities,
for the insanely disproportionate share of armed robberies, homicides, and rapes they commit?
When are black people going to pay reparations
for putting the whole nation in fear?
Broken up for MY viewing ease
EXCELLENT question

Well, I'll admit I'm pissed. This feels exactly like the late 60's. Liberals are attacking the institutions that make us safe, the police, military, CIA. Then they support the lawbreakers. We have race riots once again and liberal whites pretending to be black. Given what's happening in New York, I fully expect it will return to the lawlessness of the Dinkins era. Chicago already seems to be there.
I expected Obama would be a rerun of the awful 70's, but now they are going all out to make it much, much worse.
To: reaganaut1
It's all intended to cause race riots, the solution for which will be a national police force and suspension of habeas corpus.
Gestapo, anyone?

And that is not only true in the U.S.A. It is across the board, around the world, into every country/society where they have been allowed to emigrate, to say nothing of what is still happening in Africa.

Good for Ben.

Could be, but there are many millions that would nod their heads in agreement. It wasn’t just Olympic hopefuls and clay pigeon shooters who bought all those firearms the last seven or eight years.

Pray.
I think he makes a great suggestion and as a God knowing individual, I have spoken to God a lot about this. I used to pray to God as a child to fix race relations.
Unfortunate that their community organizers have to keep Blacks on the plantation otherwise Al Sharpton would have to get a real job.
But to pray for peaceful outcomes hang on be right back....LOL
But I think it is a good idea.

I think Ben Stein’s astute friend lives in the border state of California. Maybe he is Ben Stein.

I grew up in the 60's and 70's, with the Civil Rights Act going on and I was raised by parents that totally embraced Martin Luther King's dream of judging people by their character and not skin color, so that has always been my worldview.
As an adult, I've been burned a number of times as a manager when I treated poor performing blacks the same as I treated poor performing whites.
And, in the last ten years I've been shocked to learn how widespread and deep is the hatred blacks have for whites. With all that hatred, sensitivity to any perceived slight and random acts of violence against whites, I now generally avoid any blacks that I don't know personally, not out of prejudice but as a matter of safety.

There will be an E.O. for gun confiscation. That will be the first mission of Obola’s domestic army.

That only works if enough people fear and respect the State to follow their orders.
We are honestly past that. Which may be a very bad thing.
The State can no longer maintain order, and those in power have no wish to. People are viewing themselves as members of a different group rather than as Americans first.
In other words, we are unraveling.

Why do you think all those MRAPS have been staged with police departments throughout the country?
I'm not sure how much good a handgun is against them.
Waco will be the model for how they go about it.
