All of the pressing issues can be addressed in the next two years from a position of congressional strength.

Pretty much the same excuse I have heard since the Republican gained the House after FDR finally gave up the ghost. Remember that when we had both houses and the presidency we quickly lost all three because we did nothing but increase the debt.
