"Voters are stupid" economist Jonathan Gruber and Marilyn Tavenner face Issa and the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee today on C-SPAN 3.
FOX News reports that Tavenner has asked that she be seated anywhere but next to Gruber. Apparently, Gruber is radioactive. Time will tell whether this affliction is covered under Obamacare.

Issa should give equal time to someone whose life has been turned upside down by Obamacare.
Cummings just said “pre-existing conditions”.
When something pays a “claim” that is really not a “claim” because it is a sure thing the thing paying is NOT insurance.
Would it be insurance if the government forced private insurers to sell something called insurance that pays for a house fire after the house has burned down? Would it be auto “insurance” if a person could buy a policy after they had an accident? Would it be disability “insurance” if a person could buy disability coverage after they were disabled? Nope! It is not insurance when the odds are a claim are 100%.
People in government, largely, are unable to understand capitalism. If they could and if they are smart they would be out making their own money using our amazing capitalistic system. Instead, they go in to government and because they do not understand the value of a dollar they simply don’t care about the dollars they confiscate from the rest of us that, well, actually work for a living.
When I was young I looked up to people in government, I thought that they were our best and brightest. As I grew older I discovered that that was not the case at all and more often than not these people were not the best and brightest but the opposite. I’d go on but I’m listening to the hearing and all I can think about this moment is:
Who the f**k is Ari Goldman and why is this crybaby on C-Span?
If there is a “success” story why not have someone who is hurt by ACA as a witness as well.
This was an underhanded ploy by dems to bring this witness forward at the last minute - first denied by Issa to speak, then approved it when Cummings requested it.
“If Gruber says “microsimulation” one more time, Issa should have the Sergeant-at-Arms slap him”
They should have that Sergeant-at-Arms from the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa stand next to Gruber with his gun exposed on his hip.
This seems to be one of the ‘Rat tactics- mention RomneyCare as much as possible. Coordinated talking points between Cummings and Gruber.
That's the crux of this whole hearing. Of course, he's going to continue to claim his statements for "speak-o's", IOW not true.
