Just have the marriage annuled.
A did not want to be divorced, did nothing to warrant it, but it happened anyway. Now A is totally alone, goes to Mass alone but is perfectly in line with the Catholic Church. A relies on God only. It is miserable, A is sad, horrified.
So say B cuts out, remarries wants to act like he is good and pure, is he in the same posture as A? NO! B just wants to be approved of.
Communism is not the right answer for anything good.
Knew two kids whose lawyer father annulled his first marriage of close to 30 years instead of divorcing. Had them sign papers to make them “bastards” in the eyes of the Catholic church or he would cut them out of his substantial will. I see the lawyer every so often when I go back to my hometown, out at dinner with his new wife and kids and I ask him about his first two kids just for spite.
Is the Pope Catholic?
Nope.
Because marriage is forever, we've held off from a civil marriage because it would not be right to go the civil route alone.
I understand that remarried people are at a disadvantage (at least that's what the pope appears to be saying) in living an active live in the Church. Yes it doesn't mean the Church is wrong, it means that the remarried are actively openly sinning.
The annulment process is an act of mercy that the Church pursues. Reforming that would be a better way to go I think. But the very nature of the process can't be made more easy though. Tough call...
All this “thinking aloud” about “controversial” issues is destructive. It just gives the Left opportunities to sow discord. I would prefer a Pope who forbids discussion.
