Louie Gohmert (R-TX) exposed how House Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Majority Whip Steve Scalise strengthened President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty with procedural trickery former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber would envy—and they did it all in the name of pushing a bill that they told Republicans would block Obama’s executive amnesty. What’s more is that a series of interviews and recent developments indicate that Boehner’s gambit here is placing several of his top lieutenants—including at least two committee chairmen—at political risk of serious primary challenges just a few months after newly elected Rep. Dave Brat (R-VA) beat now former House Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) in a Republican primary. Gohmert said most members had no idea what they were actually voting for when 219 members—216 of which were Republicans—approved a measure, H.R. 5759, first put forward by Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL), but subsequently dramatically altered by leadership officials in the Rules Committee process.

Grandma n Grandpa was a democrat, but they would be Republican today. The politics have changed. I was mad because I am tired of politicians lying to us. I know you can’t dig nobody up. Didn’t figure I had to let people know about my sarcasm. But I will say this, there ain’t nobody properly representing conservatives in DC. The people who say they are do all they can to compromise our positions. The other side never compromises theirs. When will we get true representation in DC?

Several of us on this thread alone would be given public apologies after the crap we endured for the crime of believing the evidence in front of us, but we all know that will never happen. We were SO correct about this we predicted it to the millimeter.

Sure, no problem. They control all committees. They control the money. They are owned by big business, and the Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber spent 100 million defeating tea party/conservative candidates.
The powers that be want Obamacare, and amnesty. They will get it too. But we won, right? It doesn’t matter. Vote for a RINO, and then we will “hold their feet to the fire!!”
I’m gonna wait and watch for the next few months to see what comes of this newly found republican majority.

The size of the bills are the root of the problem - an intentional root, I am sure. They’re hundreds or thousands of pages long just for crap like this to happen. We founded a country on a document that was what, 15? 20? pages long?
Want to stop this crap for real? Pass (and enforce) a law that says no bill can come up for vote in the House or Senate unless it’s shorter in word count than the Constitution.
Evil hides in the shadows. It also nestles itself on the bottom of page 434 of an 912 page bill where no one will ever see it until after it becomes law.

If the new ones can't/won't do the job as they were Mandated to do by this last election, it is all over. There is no more hope for us.
This last election WE HAVE SPOKEN loud and clear, there is no doubt, no wiggle room left for them. We are all mad as hell, fuming mad.
