Some of you turned Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC)87% into the hero of the day because of his Benghazi investigation. He could do no wrong. What happens when you build a cult of personalty around any politician is then they can go BOHICA on you.

Ingraham, Mark Levin and Ann Coulter are already on to the big talking Gowdy. Now Erickson has caught on.
Gowdy is not as strong as Lamar Smith, Steve King and Elton Gallegly.

Freepers warned early about Gowdy. They were right. All Gowdy does is perform theatrics with no real substance
A perfect example of "Republican" (well "Public," at least) pro-forma opposition to the tyrannical government of The Mombasa MF. Sound and fury signifying nothing.

Gowdy’d purpose is to make the base think that they are getting red meat when in fact they are getting nothing at all.
If he was actually effective at getting any sort of result, he would be picked for not one thing.
I hate to admit I agree with you.
I dearly love Gowdy’s rhetoric, but have long wondered why that’s all there ever seems to be. Would love to be proven wrong!

Long on talk, short on action that gets guys like Dewhurst fired and guys like Abbott elected.

When will more of us figure out that 95 percent of GOP politicians and 100 percent of Dems are all putting on a pretend show from domestic issues to foreign policy with fake limited wars.
Countries like the US and UK can’t fight a real all out war as their militaries continue to get cut in size and strength.
McCain’s toughness in foreign policy and defense is to make sure taxpayer dollars go to his defense contractor friends but not to fight and win any kind of war.
Some question the necessity of our military committments and others detract the patriotism of those who question military activities against ISIS or Vladimir Putin.
After all the effort and casualties in Afghanistan there are ‘peace talks’ with the Taliban.
Why fight ‘wars’ when the endgame is negotiating with the
‘enemy’ as appears to be a pattern we saw in Vietnam and now in Afghanistan.
Yeah, that’s why all these threads that I see that are Gowdy destroys so and so...Gowdy absolutely crushes so and so..
Doesn’t matter at all.
No change has been effected whatsoever, and none will be.
I am not interested in kabuki theater.
