Well, his EPIC FAILURE has almost assuredly ended his career anyway. After telling the owners that there was no need to be onsite, because the guard would be there.

He’s lucky someone hasn’t shown up with tar and feathers.
I did wonder why Sharpton and Holder were Johnny on the spot so quick. Seems like the Dems have some sort of inside struggle going on.

I’ve been wondering if Ferguson wasn’t just sacrificed to make sure that all the rest of the upscale neighborhoods and businesses were spared - you know kinda like contain it and let them burn up their own neighborhood?

What career? Gov Nixon is term limited and will not be running for re-election. This was his parting shot.

Big difference between 'retiring' and getting the boot before an election. One gets benefits and pension, I'd wager, the other maybe not.

Bad enough to leave property owners on their own, but far worse to tell them help is on the way and not produce.

It isn't unusual with a gasoline fire to contain it and let it burn out, same with racial violence in the past. Usually the neighborhoods manage to eliminate any businesses within, and then cry later about how there are no stores, "food deserts", and the like.

No one in their right mind would continue to try to operate a business where the law is openly disregarded and there will be no help forthcoming from any official sources.

The problem is that the blight will ultimately spread, not be contained.
