The breakdown...
14 percent are blacks. Half of them are men. Down to 7 percent. Black males between 18 and 30 years old (3%) are the ones doing 50% of the murders.
And the other 50% of murders are by committed mostly by young men of other races.
3% responsible for 50% explains why young black men are regarded with particular wariness, but young white, asian and hispanic men are also responsible for a disproportionate share of murders.
