I have had highly valued Mennonite friends and co-workers in the pro-life movement, and find their morals and manners admirable. I don't doubt that's true for 99% of them.
So I ask myself, why am I posting this? Not to make Mennonites look bad. I just think we have to be realistic about the pervasive influence of evil. Even in communities of "the pure," those most withdrawn from "this sinful world", an infection sin can take root and spread. Easy money. Pride because they think they're so clever they can't be caught. Maybe even doing it for "a good cause," buy more land, expand the community, who knows?
I hope they catch the "big biggies" and hit them hard. As for this Mennonite? He's served his 15 months. Hope he has learned his lesson and confessed to his God and his community.

The investigation involved wiretaps in which 32,200 calls were recorded in Spanish and a German dialect used by Mennonites. Imagine working as a "Wind-Talker" for the German dialect which the Mennonites use.
Would they have to devise new words for certain concepts not covered by "normal" Mennonite speech?
