NYPD sources confirm that Eric Garner was a player in an organized crime cigarette smuggling syndicate, Gotnews.com has learned.
(snip)
Garner was setting up shop in front of the local stores and shaking down business owners and patrons as they entered, says Cardillo.
Garner would use his considerable size to strong arm largely ethnic shopkeepers and was on the radar of local law enforcement who had arrested him previously.

Obama has divided and conquer.
Anyone who resists arrest, even if unarmed should die?

Should die? Or could die? That’s the question here.
And Garner - just like Michael Brown - ultimately was responsible for that answer.
Should have died. Because he was selling ciggies without the $10 plus per pack demanded by the nanny state?! wow, 2nd.

Seriously. You know that’s not how or why he died.
All the more reason for the Tetrarchs (Obama, Jarrett, Holder, and Sharpton) and the media to obsess over this case.
Pretty simple, really.
Does the autopsy mean anything to you? He suffered severe neck trauma that only comes from choking. Try reading it before you spout off like that.

You got a link to that? I’ve bveen reading the coroners report showed NO SIGNS of trauma to the neck. And he died of cardiac arrest.
you need to read it, he died of a heart attack.
I can see the video, he was choked for a total of 15 SECONDS.
ONE SECOND after he said “I can’t breath” the choke hold was released.
You can have an opinion, but you can’t have your own facts!

1:39 choke hold is applied
1:46 is taken to the ground (note the arm sticking out starts to spasm *heart attack*)
1:54 says “I can’t breathe for the first time”
1:55 released from choke hold
Garner died later in the ambulance on the way to the hospital of cardiac arrest.
Those are the FACTS.
He shouldn’t have died. When he resisted, the police should have just let him go. /sarc
Another case of police taking out the trash.
You posted “He should have died.” I assume you post what you mean here. Brutal for sure. Are you a cop? I hope not.
I’m not sure the NYPD has any more credibility on the issue. I also don’t believe the officers involved thought he was connected with the mob when they brought him down.
No choke holds. That simple.
Taze him multiple times, cuff him, and off you go. You don’t have to choke him to subdue him.
This is going to be the tipping point for a lot of folks. Too many dead dogs. Too many raids on homes that didn’t need to be raided. Too many dead people who were just watching TV before SWAT kicked in the door.
Wilson was legit. Guy went out on watch and got extremely unlucky.
What the NYPD did to this guy was so egregious, and the evidence so vivid and clear, that you can’t help thinking the whole thing is rigged against all of us.
If you watch THE ENTIRE video, you will find out that the guy who died was guilty of NOTHING MORE than stopping a fight that happened outside his shop. All the other crap about cigarettes and the mob was stuff they dug up later.
They are screwed here. There is no way politically around this. ‘Pants up, don’t loot’ happened and then this decision in NYC happened right on the heels of it. Timing is everything.
What about head locks, that is legit, is it?
I predict this stuff is going to fade. Christmas is around the corner.
Or not high enough where the goods are smuggled from. /devil's advocate.
It was also a common subplot on the Sopranos.
And the jokes just write themselves...
Of course they had the good sense to give the cops a piece of the action.
That’s why I say, if you think there’s a War on Drugs now, wait until they’re legal and taxable.
1. Charles Johnson and gotnews are about as reliable as MSNBC.
2. The most the NYPD could do is allege that this is true.
