Betty Balderama should still be alive today.
But for this dedicated mom and domestic worker from Oakland, a treatable condition — diabetes — turned out to be a death sentence.
Why?
Because like over 2 million Californians, Betty was undocumented. Cruelly shut out of the Affordable Care Act by Congress, she had limited access to basic medical care and a fear of crushing financial burdens.
Two years ago, Betty died, emaciated, only 55 years old.

Betty should’ve gone back to the country from which she came. It probably had socialized medicine, after all isn’t the argument that the rest of the world is ahead of the U.S. in socialized medicine.

In Mexico you do not get medical care if you do not have the cash up front. There is no bad debt expense for hospitals or malpractice lawsuits. Ironically, Americans in California, such as myself, may have to go Tijuana and pay reasonable medical bills in cash to get care AFTER the illegal Mexicans and 0bamacare have completely destroyed the California healthcare system.
Part of the reason for YOUR high costs is that you are paying for the non-citizens and welfare cases.
The new American reality is that every time some has a sob story, the CITIZEN-TAXPAYER is on the hook for making everything all better.
This status-quo cannot be allowed to stand.
CA is the model for perma-Dem takeover of everything. Swamp any native population, impose ruinous taxes, and create a dependency class that gradually overtakes anything native and relentlessly erodes the rights of the citizen. I think CA is genuinely done.
