Nothing can be done in the next two years without a shutdown. Giving the Sultan what he wants for the text two years will leave us with a shariah system and a lifetime Sultan and not even any more mere reference to the Constitution. Avoiding a shutdown is apparently the only policy position the Republican Party has. They might as well all go home and leave the government to the Democrats and their Sultan.

All one really has to do is look who gave a given candidate the most money. If it was the Chamber of Commerce, you know they will sell us out. 100% guaranteed.

Same holds true for Wall Street. Boehner, McConnell and Cornyn each got over one million from Wall St. They got the most by far........wonder why.

So what if the government shuts down?
We can stop Obama by being afraid of our own shadow.
Besides, we have to tell the American people and frame it that Obama shut the government down.
And no, we are not waiting another 25.5 months to shut Obama down.
He is setting the terms and he is only the freaking President, not an Emperor.
Way to go Karl Rove.

Go ahead and play the same game youve been losing for 20 years. Im sure youll win this time. LOL You want to elaborate on that. I have no idea what you are referring to. I do know that if we continue to bring in 1.1 million PERMANENT LEGAL IMMIGRANTS A YEAR, then amnesty is really a distraction. We could shut down the borders, develop a s system to track down and deport visa overstays who comprise 40% of the illegal population, and ensure that illegal aliens are not hired, but we will still lose this country thru legal immigration. Amnesty just hastens the process.

Might want to look at this FR thread.

Doesn’t take much intelligence to figure out that amnesty doesn’t matter if the border is wide open.
Again, keep running your losing play, its bound to work eventually.

If the Reps really wanted to shut down the government in order to stop amnesty, they could. They would have a huge platform to explain why they are doing it and the disastrous impact amnesty will have on American workers, especially minorities, and the costs this will incur, i.e., $6.3 trillion. They could shed their brand as the party of the rich and become the
Party of Work.

Does that throw Gowdy into the dust bin with those who failed the FR conservative litmus test? Pretty much. Trey did manage to get a grownup haircut but taking WAPO advice just sucks.

OMG people(Republicans), what is it with this false premise of “Government Shutdown”. Why do we always do this to ourselves?
We let the media and the Democrats set the table and the template and we jump on that battelefield. Are we just to allow the President to walk all over the Constitution and rewrite laws because we are “scared” of a shutdown. SIGH. Cmon freepers, we are not GOPe people, we are the resistance.
To: cripplecreek
I never said that we should keep the border wide open. I oppose amnesty and want it stopped before it is implemented. It will never be reversed. In 2012 Obama provided the template for amnesty with his backdoor, executive Dreamer DACA amnesty that so far has legalized 580,000 lawbreakers. There was very little opposition from the Reps, In fact, Eric Cantor was preparing to introduce the GOP version of DACA.
Of course amnesty matters because it imbues millions with legal rights and government benefits. They will be receiving SSNs giving them access to SS and Medicare. Both programs are going bankrupt and are in the red--SS since 2010 and Medicare since 2008.
And immigrants vote more than two to one Dem. They are already making the Dems the permanent majority party.
We need to secure the border and stop amnesty. When you have a water pipe burst in the basement, the first thing you do is shut off the water. But the Dems are holding securing the border hostage to amnesty.

I would suggest that the critical decision Republicans should be making, is who they can trust to explain their case--so far as anything dramatic--in a way that will break through the ongoing media censorship of anything for which the Obamanists have no effective answer.
The Republican leadership has too many nervous Nellies, who simply do not understand the effective communicative skills that brought Reagan to the Presidency.

Everybody wants to switch to instant hate Nothing instant about it. What result did you see before the election from Trey Gowdy's committee? One lousy 5 minute round of propaganda. He has been wrong on immigration from the get go, people just don't want to hear it.
Remember when Cristie Porn was a daily must read? Freepers are so starved for real leaders we jump on the

who can speak more than two conservative sounding sentences without making a gaff.
